Vincent Wan jammed all in for 265,000 from early position, and Jeremy Hyman called on the button. In the big blind, 2013 Main Event Champion Ryan Riess went into the tank for a bit before tossing his hand away.
Vincent Wan: 10♠10♣
Jeremy Hyman: K♦Q♦
The board ran out Q♣7♠3♣Q♥9♣, and the three queens were good for Hyman to eliminate Wan from the tournament.
With the full board reading 4♥Q♦10♦10♣8♥ and approximately 160,000 already in the pot, Florian Gaugusch had 300,000 already committed from the big blind when Maxime Chilaud moved all in from the small blind, comfortably covering him for his last million.
Faced with a decision for his tournament life, Gaugusch went deep into the tank. Eventually, Mason Vieth called the clock, much to the dismay of a few tablemates who felt Gaugusch hadn't been given enough time.
The floor staff arrived and began the countdown. The clock ticked, and Gaugusch's hand was ruled dead as the clock hit zero.
As Chilaud dragged in the pot to climb to around four million in chips, he said to Vieth, "I think because I took so long to raise, it felt like he took a long time."
Gaugusch appeared unfazed by the ruling, simply responding, "I felt like it was just a few minutes."
Vieth, sporting a bright blue hat emblazoned with "The Milkman" across the front, continued, "Y'all never have to call the clock on me. I won't take more than one minute for a decision, I promise." He then capped it off with, "I'm already tilted, I got put on a European table," getting some laughs from the international mix of players at the table.
Heads up to the 5♠10♠4♥ flop, Kei Sugita checked from the big blind to Giovanny Ocampo in early position. Ocampo bet, Sugita raised to 135,000, and Ocampo clicked it back to 245,000.
Sugita called before he led out for 475,000 on the 3♠ turn. Ocampo spent a few minutes in the tank, ultimately electing to fold and leave himself a stack of 30 big blinds.
Ryan Miller raised to 40,0000 in the hjiack. Samuel Ick called on the button before Brian Hastings moved all in for 435,000 from the small blind. Qiang Xu called in the big blind, forcing Miller to fold A♠10♦ and Ick to muck 7♠7♦.
Brian Hastings: A♣K♥
Qiang Xu: 9♠9♣
Xu flopped a set on 9♦8♦Q♦ and left Hastings drawing dead after the 8♣ turn gave him a full house. The meaningless 6♠ river was dealt as Hastings was already halfway to the exit.
Picking up the action with roughly 500,000 already in the pot, Farid Jattin checked from the big blind on a 6♠K♠7♦J♣ board. Caitlin Comeskey bet 420,000 in early position, sending Jattin deep into the tank.
After a fair amount of time had passed, the clock was called, and Jattin was given 30 seconds to act. As the clock ticked down to around four seconds, Jattin moved all in for around 2,700,000, more than enough to cover Comeskey's remaining 1,100,000.
"What time does the T.O.R.S.E start?" Comeskey asked, receiving no response.
After she spent several minutes thinking it through, she decided to fold.
Jattin wasted no time at all in windmilling the 5♣ across the table.
Francisco Benitez was in the cutoff and already in a 600,000 pot with Ibrahim Naim, who was in the small blind. The pair were already on the turn and looking at a 6♣6♠5♦8♥ board.
Benitez checked, and Naim moved all in for 1,070,000, covering Benitez's remaining 505,000 stack. Benitez went into the tank and apologized to the table, but a couple of players said, "No, you take your time."
Benitez lifted his stack and slammed it on the table and flipped over his pocket sevens after a couple of minutes. Naim tabled his pocket tens, and Benitez saw he was behind, but he had some outs with the open-ended straight draw.
Francisco Benitez: 7♠7♥
Ibrahim Naim: 10♥10♠
Benitez couldn't bring it back on the 3♥ river, and he hit the rail.
