The board read 9♠6♣2♣9♣K♠ and Monnette checked over to Matusow who bet 7,000, prompting Monnette to raise to 20,000.
"This is a weird hand," muttered Matusow as he contemplated his options. He thought for just under a minute before opting to toss his hand into the muck, ceding the pot to the fellow WSOP bracelet winner.
