Lagodich Busts Yang; Taylor Waves Goodbye

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

With hand-for-hand play having just started, Haiyang Yang jammed from the small blind for about 120,000 and Frank Lagodich snap-called from the big blind.

Haiyang Yang : A6 All in
Frank Lagodich: A9

Yang was dominated by Lagodich with the higher kicker, and before the flop was even dealt, Yang pleaded with the dealer, "Chop, chop, chop!"

Esther Taylor, who had been involved in some jovial back-and-forth with Yang for quite some time, immediately fired back with a request of her own.

"No chop, no chop, no chop!"

The flop came down 8102, providing little hope of a chop. The K turn and Q river changed nothing, and Yang headed to the exit just before the money.

As Yang made the long walk away from the table, Taylor waved goodbye and joked, "Bye, bye."

A Season on the Brinkenhoff

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Michael Brinkenhoff's bubble saga is a fascinating one.

The California resident got into a hand heads-up against Franco Spitale, in which he lost and was left with just four 1,000-value chips.

With only 76 players left in the tournament, and the bubble bursting at 70, Brinkenhoff moved all in under the gun. Martin Zamani, eyeing the bounty chip, raised to a 400,000 to clear out any other challengers.

Michael Brinkenhoff: 44All in
Martin Zamani: J7

Zamani was in jeopardy, but he did have two overs. In the runout, the board paired twice A882A, counterfeitting Zamani's fours and giving Brinkenhoff the win thanks to his jack.

He had to put his backpack back and sit down with his 31,000 chips.

In the next hand, as the big blind, Brinkenhoff had to pay 30,000 with the ante. When the action folded back to him, he tossed his lone chip in.

Again, he was heads up against Zamani, who made the call.

Michael Brinkenhoff: Q3All in
Martin Zamani: Q2

With almost identical hand and very small kickers, odds were there would be a chop. And there was on a runout of 6KAK4.

Alive, as the small blind with a few chips with which to play, Brinkenhoff wasn't satisfied.

With just 73 players left in the event and the tables now going hand-for-hand, Spitale raised to 35,000 under the gun. Brinkenhoff called with less all in. Zamani called from the big blind.

The flop hit 710K. Zamani checked, Spitale bet 25,000, Zamani called.

The 5 came on the turn and Spitale and Zamani checked.

The 3 on the river brought a lead from Zamani for 60,000. Spitale called.

Spitale showed AJ to top Zamani 86 for the side pot.

Brinkenhoff got off the brink of the bubble with 99 to claim the main pot.

"That was really dumb on the bubble," Brinkenhoff said.

Not everyone agreed.

"Are you kidding me?," tablemate Raplh Perry said. "You're the greatest shortstack player on the planet."

Nguyen Double Clocked

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Ryan Wolfson moved all in from the cutoff, for a bet totalling 46,000. Khoi Le Nguyen was on the button, and took quite a while to come to a decision. The clock was called, and he made the call with just a second left. Hannes Jeschka then reshoved from the small blind, and action got back to Le Nguyen. The clock was called again, and he ran it down before folding.

Ryan Wolfson: Q6 All in
Hannes Jeschka: A10

Wolfson needed to hit, and hit he did as the 48JQ8 runout gave him top pair to stay in contention.

Kabrhel Claims Miao's Bounty

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Martin Kabrhel made it 30,000 to play from under the gun and action folded to Chenxiang Miao in the small blind who three-bet all in for about 90,000. Kabrhel snap-called.

Chenxiang Miao: AQ All in
Martin Kabrhel: AK

An interesting J107 flop gave both players a straight draw and left the other not wanting to hit their kicker. The 6 turn changed nothing and when Miao hit his kicker on the Q river it gave Kabrhel Broadway to send Miao to the rail.

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Brek Schutten
Brek Schutten

Brek Schutten opened from the cutoff and Kyle Julius three-bet the button. When it got back to Schutten, he four-bet jammed for around 200,000 and Julius snap-called.

Brek Schutten: A8 All in
Kyle Julius: AA

Schutten had ripped it into the prelfop nuts and needed a couple of eights or some spades to stay alive.

There was no help for Schutten on the 93784 runout, and all of his chips headed over to Julius.
