Kinesh Pather opened in middle position for 225,000. Adam Agaev in cutoff called. Rambo Halpern changed the dynamic by reraising all in for 1,100,000. Pather called while Agaev got out of the way.
Rambo Halpern: A♠K♣
Kinesh Pather: 7♦7♥
Halpern was looking at a potential double-up when the flop dropped 9♠A♥4♥, The dealer completed the board with a 5♦4♦ runout securing his double.
Buck Bucceri asked the big blind, "Can I see your stack?" The table chuckled, and Farzad Bonyadi showed him his mega pile.
Bucceri raised to 250,000, and Bonyadi called. The flop was 10♠A♣10♦, and both players checked.
On the turn 7♠, Buck slipped out 200,000, and Bonyadi called.
The river A♦ brought another quick bet from Buck of 400,000. Bonyadi considered for a moment and folded.
Buck happily turned over 7♣5♣ for a headline.
Sridhar Sangannagari had a wild experience in two hands, winning one in a walk and losing one on a tough beat that he'll remember for a long time.
In the first hand Peter Kamaras raised to 100,000 under the gun. Sangannagari three-bet all in from the cutoff.
This move seemed to catch the table off guard, as a tankitis spread like the flu.
Small blind Bruce Diamond was first up. He asked for extra time, and his tablemates all approved.
Diamond sat on his hand for a couple minutes trying to decide what to do. He even broke a rule by asking Sangannagari, "Would you do that with jacks?"
After getting yelled at by the dealer and the others in the hand, Diamond finally, and unhappily, folded. In doing so, he accidentally flashed his pocket queens Q♦Q♣.
Anthony Harnden in the big blind was next. He took a little less time before deciding to fold.
Last on the list was Peter Kamaras, the original raiser. He thought about it and let it go as well.
Sangannagari didn't show.
On the very next hand, Yossi Maymon raised 250,000 under the gun. Sangannagari bumped it to 600,000 from middle position.
Action folded back to Maymon, who called.
The flop hit 8♥9♦10♥. Maymon checked. Sangannagari shoved with 1,700,000 chips.
Maymon immediately called with a covering stack.
Sridhar Sangannagari: A♥A♠
Yossi Maymon: Q♥J♠
After not getting any callers on the pocket kings he said he had the previous hand, Sangannagari waited until after the flop to shove on the next, and it cost him.
Maymon's flopped straight held through the turn and river Q♠5♠, and Sangannagari was out in 47th place.
David Meschel open-jammed all in on the button for 580,000. Ricardo Padilla in the big blind called taking them to a showdown.
David Meschel: K♥7♣
Ricardo Padilla: 9♥6♥
The flop came 6♣10♠2♣ pushing Padilla ahead and prompting Meschel to get on his feet expecting the worse. He watched quietly as the dealer completed the board with 5♥10♣.
Meschel left the table as Padilla scooped the pot.
Four-time bracelet winner Farzad Bonyadi raised from early position to 250,000, Carlos Girard called from the small blind, and Ronald Moore called from the big blind.
Bonyadi announced, "What a friendly pot."
The dealer fanned out 3♥8♣5♠, and Girard took a stab and bet 300,000. Moore folded, and Bonyadi called.
On the turn 4♣ Girard checked, Bonyadi pounced with a bet of 1,000,000.
Girard stated jokingly, "Now is it an unfriendly pot?" and he folded face up with 7♥7♠.
He asked Bonyadi, "Do you have ace-king?"
Bonyadi flipped over A♠K♠.
Todd German opened 250,000 and Eric Wang called from the late position. Ricardo Padilla in the blind followed suit.
All three players checked all the way through the turn of a 10♣K♣6♥K♠. Padilla checked the river J♦ prompting German to bet 500,000.
After a few seconds, Wang raised to 1,200,000. Padilla folded his hand saying, "I'd call the 500 but not the raise." German shoved all in for around 900,000.
Wang gave out a sigh of resignation and called. He asked, "What do you have?" German tabled A♠Q♦ and said, "I have a straight."
Wang replied, "So do I," then tabled exactly the same hand A♦Q♣.
Players commented that it's a chop, and Wang quite satisfied with the result said, "I can live with that."
The hand was joined with Mark Abrahams already all in preflop, with Kenneth Sikes and Farzad Bonyadi working on a side pot.
The flop hit 4♦3♦5♦. Bonyadi checked. Sikes moved all in Bonyadi folded.
Mark Abrahams: Q♠8♥
Kenneth Sikes: A♦K♥
"Well, I have two outs," Abrahams said.
The Q♥ hit on the turn.
"That's one of them," a tablemate said excitedly.
Then he said, "Uh oh," as the A♣ landed on the river, giving Sikes a bigger pair and the win.
The hand was joined with Jeffrey Kimber's three-bet all-in for just under 900,000 chips, and Fred Goldberg's call.
Jeffrey Kimber: K♣Q♠
Fred Goldberg: 10♣8♦
Neither player connected in a runout of 9♥7♦3♣A♦3♦, leaving Kimber with the win thanks to a king and queen to go with the pair and ace on the board.
