The pace of play has slowed dramatically of late at one of the final two tables. Five-minute hands that never see a flop seems to have become the norm.
There were six shoves and all-folds during a plodding a rotation, but only the backs of cards were shown.
That changed when Spyridon Apartoglou raised to 200,000 under the gun.
The folded action folded to Maher Achour in the hijack and he raised to 575,000. Apartoglou took a while, but made the call.

The turn brought another heart, the J♥. Both players checked.
The 8♠ hit on the river. Apartoglou checked again.
Achour thought about his next move for a bit, then bet 900,000.

The river was the 8♣ and Latorre overbet the pot with 700,000. Smiljkovic raised to 1,800,000, and Latorre folded after three minutes.
Myles Mullaly opened to 200,000 in middle position, and Zachary Gruneberg in late position shoved all in for 700,000. Mullaly called, putting Gruneberg's tournament life at risk.

Gruneberg got on his feet ready to leave the moment the dealer spread 7♠3♠K♦, cementing Mullaly's lead with two pair. The dealer completed the board with an 8♥ turn and the Q♥ river for Gruneberg to be eliminated.
Josh Reichard opened to 200,000 in early position and Caleb Harris, to his left, reraised to 575,000. Myles Mullaly in the big blind had other things in mind and four-bet to 1,050,000. Reichard thought about it for a few seconds, then got out of the way.
Harris replied with an all-in shove for 2,545,000. Mullaly snap-called.

Harris looked relieved to be pushed into the lead with the A♠5♠10♣ flop. He continued his deep run with a double when the dealer peeled a 8♣ turn and a 9♦ river.
Maher Achour opened to 200,000 in the cutoff and Eoghan O'Dea reraised to 750,000 in the small blind. Achour took his time before calling to see a flop.
The flop came J♠6♥Q♦. O'Dea continued with 400,000 and, unfazed, Achour hung on to see the next card.
Both players checked the A♠ on the turn.
O'Dea increased the pressure with an 850,000 bet on the J♥ river. Achour took his time before raising to 3,000,000. O'Dea conceded his hand and the massive pot to Achour.
Spyridon Apartoglou raised to 200,000 from middle position, Maher Achour three-bet to 625,000 in the big blind, and Apartoglou called. Achour bet 375,000 on the Q♣8♠4♥ flop and Apartoglou called. On the 6♦ turn, Achour bet 1,075,000 and Apartoglou called again.
The river was the 5♠ and Achour emptied the clip with a bet of 2,300,000. Apartoglou wasted no time in calling and Achour showed A♥A♣. Apartoglou tabled A♠A♦ for the chop.
"You're supposed to have kings there," Apartoglou laughed.
Myles Mullaly raised to 200,000 under the gun. Mauro Ferreira three-bet to 450,000 from the button. Mullaly made the call.

The turn brought the 4♠. After Mullaly checked, Ferreira shoved all in with 1,860,000 chips. Mullaly thought about it for a couple minutes, then made the call.
