"Texas Redneck" Brunson Shows Down a Nine

Todd Brunson raised in the hijack and Michael Moncek three-bet in the cutoff. Andrew Yeh called in the small blind, as did Brunson.

Yeh took two, and Brunson and Moncek one. All three players checked and Yeh drew two more. Brunson stood pat, and Moncek took one. Brunson then bet, and only Yeh called.

Yeh took one and Brunson stood pat. Both players checked, and Brunson showed 9x6x5x4x2x to win the pot.

"You're at a table of non-Asians," Mike Thorpe, as usual wandering around from another table, said to Yeh.

"I'm part-Asian," Brunson said.

"You are not Asian. You're a redneck from Texas," Thorpe told him.

"Wheel draw," Tran joked as he drew four. Hellmuth, Juanda, and Tate all drew one, and Hellmuth then bet. Juanda raised, and Tate three-bet. Tran folded, and Hellmuth four-bet. Juanda called, Tate five-bet, and both Hellmuth and Juanda called.

Hellmuth and Tate stood pat, and Juanda took one. Hellmuth then bet his last 7,000 and Juanda folded, while Tate called.

"I'm pat," Hellmuth said.

"I have a wheel," Tate replied, turning over 7x5x4x3x2x. Hellmuth flashed an 8-6 as he tossed his cards into the muck and went to exchange fist bumps with Juanda and Tate before heading to the rail.

Shack-Harris Takes Shirasawa's Stack
