It was a sick beat no matter what came, and what could be described as the sickest possible river in the K♠ was dealt, filling Long up for a huge double against her opponent.
Anastasija Zavorotnaja raised from early position to 12,000, and Vera Dong defended her big blind with a call. The flop arrived with 8♣2♦K♥, and both players checked.
On the turn K♦, Dong checked, Zavorotnaja bet 12,000, and Dong came alive with a check-raise to 25,000. Zavorotnaja considered and called.
The river 9♠ brought a shove from Dong for 28,000, and Zavorotnaja folded. Dong showed K♣2♣ for a full house.
