Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

The very hand after Danny Chang's elimination, Dylan Smith opened to 210,000 from early position, and Hiroyuki Noda potted to 660,000 from the big blind. Smith called, each player drew one, and Smith called off Noda's shove.

They both drew one again on the second draw, and on the final draw Noda drew one card for a third time. Smith stood pat.

Hiroyuki Noda: 8x7x4x2x All in
Dylan Smith: 9x7x5x4x2x

Noda was looking for a three, five or six, but knew his tournament was over upon peeling a face card. He flipped a Qx and exited the tournament area.

Danny Chang

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

In a single raised pot, blind vs blind, Danny Chang drew two from the small, and Naoya Kihara did the same from the big. Chang potted for 420,000, and Kihara moved all in for Chang's 430,000 more that he had behind. Chang made the call.

On both the second and third draw, Chang drew one and Kihara patted.

Danny Chang: 7x5x3x2x All in
Naoya Kihara: 7x6x5x4x2x

Kihara had pulled a big hand, and Chang was drawing relatively slim. The 10x he pulled wasn't enough to keep him alive, as the final five was confirmed.

Pot-Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw

Renan Bruschi raised to 150,000 from the hijack, and Matt Vengrin three-bet to 540,000 from the button. Steve Billirakis jammed for 720,000 from the small blind, and only Vengrin called.

On the first draw, Billirakis drew one while Vengrin took two.

The second draw saw Billirakis draw one again, while Vengrin stood pat.

Both players stood pat on the final draw, and Billirakis tabled 7x6x5x4x2x for a seven-six. However, it was second best to Vengrin's number one, 7x5x4x3x2x, sending Billirakis to the rail in seventh place.
