On seventh, Grapenthien led for a final time, and both Brewer and Rubbathan called very quickly. However, Grapenthien would reveal 3♠3♥3♣ in the hole for trip threes, and neither opponent could salvage half the pot as the Grapenthien scooped it all.

Going into the final card, Fujimoto had sixes and a low draw against the aces and inferior low draw of Grapenthien, who flipped over the 6♦ to make an eight-six low as well. Fujimoto needed to find another pair or better low, but he peeled the J♦, and his bid for a second consecutive $10,000 Championship bracelet ends in eighth place.

"Not too many good cards left," said Vengrin as he peeled his last card, only to see a 7♥ to remain unimproved with his pair of jacks. The WSOP bracelet winner wished his table mates luck while Comeskey raked in his chips.
