The pot had already swelled to approximately 1,200,000 on a flop of 5♥3♥4♠ when this hand was picked up. Peter Yang checked from the under-the-gun position before William Smith followed with a bet of 700,000 on the button.
Yang decided to play for it all as he check-raised all in to put Smith on the spot for a decision for all his chips. Smith gave it considerable thought as he went into the tank to deliberate on what to do with the remaining 2,150,000 still behind.
Smith eventually tossed his cards in the muck to award a big pot to Yang who grew his stack to nearly eight million with that hand.
