Matthias Kribben raised to 6,000 from early position, Linglin Zeng called from the button, and Dusti Smith three-bet to 21,000 from the small blind. Kribben moved out of the way, and Zeng called.
The flop was 4♣5♦3♦, and Smith bet 42,000; Zeng moved all in for 102,000, and Smith called.
Linglin Zeng: 8♣8♠
Dusti Smith: 8♦8♥
The board stayed safe for all the snowmen with 5♣4♦, and both players pulled their stacks back to their rightful positions and shared a small pot.
Artem Tuliupa opened to 5,000 from early position before Stephen Song went all-in for his remaining 36,000 from the small blind. Tuliupa made the call to put Song at risk.
Stephen Song: K♠K♥
Artem Tuliupa: A♦Q♣
Song enjoyed a healthy lead as they went to a runout, and the flop appeared to end all doubt of his prospects of a double-up when it came K♣2♥9♣ to give Song top set.
The 9♣ turn complicated matters as it gave Tuliupa a flush draw with one card to go.
Song was disappointed by the river as it came the 4♣ to give Tuliupa a flush and bust Song from the tournament.
Alan Mehamed opened to 4,000 from the hijack to get the hand started before Joseph Tien called out of the cutoff from the next seat over.
The K♠6♥10♥ flop led to a bet of 4,000 from Mehamed. Tien wanted to play for it all as he shoved for 102,500 in response.
Mehamed wasted little time making the fold as Tien earned the pot on the flop.
Leo Margets open-shoved from the cutoff for 17,000, and Ian Monahoyios, in the small blind, made the call.
Leo Margets: 3♠3♥
Ian Monahoyios: A♠5♠
Margets' hopes were dashed immediately after the flop dropped A♣5♣Q♥. Monahoyios with top pair stayed in the lead on the 6♦8♠ runout, ending Margets' wish to go deeper.
Lily Lotfy opened to 5,500 on the button before Vlad Darie went all-in for his final 77,000 from the small blind. Lotfy asked for a count and gave it some thought before she put in the call to put Darie at risk.
Vlad Darie: A♣10♥
Lily Lotfy: K♠Q♥
Darie held the slight edge preflop, but the flop lengthened his lead when it came Q♦9♦A♥ to give him a pair of aces while Lotfy paired her queen.
The 8♦ turn and the 6♥ river sealed the deal in favor of Darie as he scored the double-up.
Wen Lyu was on his final fumes when he shoved for 5,000 from the small blind. Tom Talboom made the call to put Lyu at risk.
Wen Lyu: J♠5♠
Tom Talboom: 9♥7♠
Lyu liked the flop when it came 8♣J♣J♦, but Talboom was not down and out, as he had outs to a gutshot straight to topple Lyu.
The A♦ turn was safe for Lyu, and the 8♦ river upgraded him to a full house to secure the small double-up.
On a pot of 15,000 beside a A♥A♠9♦, heads-up action was already underway between Daniyal Gheba in hijack and Shiina Okamoto in the cutoff.
On the 8♥ turn, Gheba fired 13,000 and Okamoto called.
Gheba checked the action after a stare down on the river 6♥. Okamoto shot out 36,000 and while still staring at her, Gheba threw a chip in.
Okamoto tabled A♦10♦ for trips, prompting Gheba to muck his hand.
Nadav Avrahami was in late position and called the all-in of Brian Wood from the button.
Brian Wood: Q♦Q♣
Nadav Avrahami: K♠K♥
The board stayed safe for the kings with 10♦10♣A♣J♣4♠, and Avrahami gathered his chips.
This hand was picked up with approximately 18,500 on the flop of 5♠A♠2♥ before Vineet Pahuja opted to bet 10,000 from the big blind. Mark Teltscher called out of the hijack, and Eric Tsai came along with a call on the button.
The K♣ turn led to a pair of checks from Pahuja and Teltscher. Tsai took the initiative with a bet of 22,000. Both opponents folded as Tsai picked up a nice pot early on Day 2.
