Cowboys for Murphy

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Vasileios Panagiotidis opened to 100,000 from middle position to start the bidding. Ricky Murphy wanted to play for more and chose to three-bet to 225,000 from the big blind.

Panagiotidis made the call and sent them to a flop of 7J10. Murphy kept his foot on the pedal and shoved for 280,000 after the flop. Panagiotidis made the call to put Murphy at risk.

Ricky Murphy: KKAll in
Vasileios Panagiotidis: 108

Murphy had to fade to several outs as Panagiotidis had a straight draw as well as trips and two pair outs working for him.

The J turn was safe for Murphy and a beneficial card since it eliminated any two pair concerns against Panagiotidis.

Murphy would clinch the victory when the 3 peeled on the river to award Murphy the double up with his pocket kings.

Four-Bet from Labranche

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Dillon Najor got the action started with an open to 100,000 from middle position. Mitchell Hynam three-bet to 220,000 on the button in response.

Jonah Labranche surveyed the situation and opted to put even more chips in the pot as he four-bet to 540,000 in response to all the aggression.

Najor made the fold. Hynam gave it some consideration, but thought better of it as he folded to award the pot to Labranche uncontested.

Raber Rivers the Straight

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Players were three-ways and on the river looking at a Q77KA board. The pot stood at 200,000 and Jason Raber, who was in early position already had a 100,000 bet in front of him. Radoslav Stoyanov had called from the cutoff and Martynas Kukucionis bet 700,000.

Action was back on Raber and he tank-called the raise and Stoyanov quickly mucked. Kukucionis showed his 107 for trip sevens but Raber tabled his J10 for the rivered straight to take the pot.

Conor Kelly opened to 80,000 from the cutoff before Yanting Jiang defended her big blind to create a heads-up pot.

Jiang checked and then called on the 24K flop after Kelly continued 80,000.

The A turn led to another check from Jiang. Kelly kept up the pressure with a wager of 300,000. Jiang gave it some consideration before she made the call.

Both players checked the 7 river to go to a showdown.

Jiang revealed she had A3 for a flopped straight draw that hit a pair of aces on the turn. Kelly mucked his hand as Jiang took in a healthy pot to cross the three million chip mark.

Rogen Chhabra

Peter Yang was in late position and in a hand with Rogen Chhabra in the big blind. Players had already accumulated a pot of 1,400,000 and Chharbra had moved all in for his last 1,490,000 on a J233A board.

Action was back on Yang who was in the tank. He had just 1,400,000 behind, meaning he would have to make the call for his tournament life. After a little more time had passed Chhabra called the clock and Yang was give 30 seconds to act.

Yang took the full time, and with 2 seconds left went to pick up a stack to call, but then put it back down and mucked his hand with a second to go.

Michael Rocco
Michael Rocco

Hugo Corbel got the action started with an open to 80,000 from the hijack. Michael Rocco three-bet to 255,000 from the cutoff in response. John Pannucci took a moment to consider his decision before he chose to four-bet to 570,000 from the small blind.

Corbel folded, but Rocco was not done with the bidding as he chose to five-bet all-in to put Pannucci at risk. Pannucci made the call as the two went to a showdown with Pannucci at risk.

John Pannucci: QQAll in
Michael Rocco: KK

Pannucci got queens at the wrong time as Rocco had a dominant lead with his pocket kings.

The flop offered slim pickings for Pannucci as it came 93J to keep Rocco ahead.

Pannucci failed to find a queen on the 2 turn or the 7 river to be eliminated by Rocco.

With that win, Rocco climbed over the three million mark as his stack continued to grow on a strong Day 3 for the WSOP bracelet holder.
