Filippi Flings Away

Level 20

2-7 Triple Draw

Action was picked up on the second draw, with Amnon Filippi all in and at risk against David Bach.

Filippi took one, and Bach stood pat, then the same pattern occured on the third and final draw.

Amnon Filippi: XxXxXxXx All in
David Bach: 8x6x4x3x2x

Bach had an eight six, and without even peeling his last card Filippi flung his cards at the dealer, who managed to skillfully contain them in the muck. Needless to say, Bach won the pot.

Hunichen Doubles Through Yockey

Level 20

Stud Hi-Lo

Bryce Yockey completed, Chris Hunichen raised, Yockey made it three bets, and Hunichen called.

Chris Hunichen: A5 / 86Q6 / Xx All in
Bryce Yockey: 53 / A239 / Xx

Yockey led on fourth, and he led again on fifth, with Hunichen calling off his final 23,000.

Yockey had threes with a wheel gutter against Hunichen's eight low draw. However, Hunichen paired his six on sixth and Yockey caught a brick.

On seventh, Yockey got the K, leaving Hunichen's sixes enough for the scoop, but he also got the A to make aces-up for good measure.

Poker Player Tanks Over 15 Minutes in WSOP Main Event For Pay Jump

Level 20
Loren Klein
Loren Klein

With just 72 players remaining in this year's WSOP Main Event, one player took the meaning of "tanking" to a new extreme, deliberating for over 15 minutes in an unsuccessful bid to secure a $20,000 pay jump.

On Day 6 of poker's world championship event, Loren Klein found himself all-in with just one chip behind, and was allowed to stall for an exceptionally long time before floor staff finally intervened.

Tyler Gaston, the player who contested the pot with Klein, told his opponent he would let him take his time to try to reach the next pay jump as action continued at the other tables.

Pauli Ain't Got Nothing

Level 20

Seven Card Stud

Sebastian Pauli: AQJA/KK6
Gary Bolden: 7A96/994

Action was picked up on fifth street, with Gary Bolden facing a bet from opponent Sebastian Pauli, and putting in a call.

On sixth street, Pauli bet out again after improving to aces, and Bolden took some time before coming to a decision. Eventually he put in the call to see seventh.

When the down cards were dealt, Pauli bet out again, and yet again Bolden thought for quite some time. He called, and Pauli opened his hand to show aces up.

"Oh!" exclaimed Bolden, "He ain't got nothing!" as he turned over trips to scoop the pot.
