Nuts for Tsoukernik

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

Leon Tsoukernik bet 1,100 from early position with {j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{9-Hearts} on the felt, and his opponent, who'd checked in the big blind, splashed in a call.

Tsoukernik showed {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for the nut straight, and he's almost climbed back to five digits after being as low as 2,300 a bit ago.

Mike Liang Takes From Jerry Yang

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

With about 4,500 in the pot on a board reading {7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, Mike Liang bet 2,300 from under the gun, and Jerry Yang called from the cutoff. The player on the button raised to 7,000, and Liang quickly called. Yang thought for about a minute before calling, as well.

The river was the {8-Clubs}. All three players checked, and Liang tabled {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} for two pair. Both Yang and the button mucked, sending the pot to Liang.

Liang has a healthy stack now, while Yang has lost more than half of the starting stack since the beginning of his day.

Hajiyev and Ponomarev Clash

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

Dmitry Ponomarev raised to 800 and Lloyd Mandel three-bet big to 3,800 on the button, which Ramin Hajiyev in the small blind just called. Ponomarev also came along and the three players checked the {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop. On the {6-Spades} turn, Hajiyev bet 4,300 and Ponomarev called, Mandel folded.

The {2-Spades} river slowed down the action and both players checked. Hajiyev turned over {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, which ended up second best to the {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts} of Ponomarev.

Lefrancois Gets Caught Bluffing

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

A player in middle position raised to 750, the cutoff called, Pascal Lefrancois called from the button, the small blind called, and Nadar Kakhmazov called from the big blind.

Five players saw a {7-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop, and action checked to the preflop raiser, who bet 1,500. The cutoff folded, Lefrancois called, the small blind called, Kakhmazov folded.

The turn brought the {3-Clubs}, and the small blind checked. The preflop raiser bet 4,500, Lefrancois called, and the small blind folded.

The {A-Clubs} fell on the river, and the preflop raiser checked. Lefrancois bet 15,000, sending his opponent into the tank. Ultimately, he called and tabled {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}, which was good against Lefrancois' {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a missed flush draw.

Caroline Dupre Eliminated

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

A short-stacked Caroline Dupre got her last 8,000 in on an {8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Spades}{10-Spades} board, and John Courtney called. Courtney showed {K-Spades}{3-Spades} for a king-high flush, and Dupre flung her hand into the muck.

Dupre had to show, as it was an all-in situation, and her {Q-Spades}{7-Spades} was revealed. Dupre was drawing dead, rendering the {A-Hearts} river moot.

Qui Nguyen Lucky to Chop With Zoufri

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

In a hand that occurred on the live stream, Qui Nguyen raised to 2,100 from the button with {a-Spades}{6-Spades} and got one caller before Hakim Zoufri made it 6,100 in the big blind.

Nguyen came along to make it heads-up to a {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop. Zoufri checked, and Nguyen bet 11,000, nearly a pot-sized bet. Zoufri tanked for some time before calling. On the {10-Clubs} turn, Nguyen thought for over a minute before checking behind Zoufri, and Zoufri fired out 9,000 on the {8-Hearts} river. Nguyen called immediately, and the two chopped with identical ace-high hands.
