Saab's Better Two Pair

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

Majib Saab called from under the gun as did Jason Pritchard from the button and both players in the blinds.

The flop came {5-Spades}{j-Spades}{k-Clubs} and the blinds checked over to Saab who bet 700. Pritchard called. The small blind folded. The big blind called.

The turn brought the {8-Hearts} and the big blind checked. Saab bet 450. Pritchard raised to 1,800. The big blind folded. Saab called.

The {9-Diamonds} completed the board and Saab checked again. Pritchard tossed out a bet of 2,100. Saab instantly called.

Pritchard announced 'two-pair' before Saab flipped over his {j-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for his own two pair. Pritchard then mucked his hand and Saab was awarded the pot.

A Monster Pot For Suchanek

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

Catching action on the river with a substantial pot already in the middle of the table and a board of {5-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, Jan Suchanek was facing off against one other player. The player put out a bet of 6,000 first to act and action was on Suchanek. Suchanek thought for a bit before he moved all in with a covering stack. His opponent dropped into the tank and thought for quite some time before he finally called.

Suchanek tabled his {A-Clubs}{10-Spades} for the nut flush and his opponent nodded, showing his {Q-Clubs} before he picked up his things to leave the table. Suchanek was awarded the big pot and chipped up to nearly 75,000 after taking out his opponent.

Strang's Turn Lead Works Out

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

A player limped in under the gun and the player in the cutoff limped as well. The small blind completed before Errolyn Strang checked her option in the big blind.

The flop was {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and action checked to the under the gun imped who put out a bet of 500. The player in the cutoff called as did Strang while the small blind folded.

The turn was the {6-Spades} and this time Strange put together a bet of 1,525 and pushed it forward. The under the gun player folded as did the player in the cutoff, so Strang was able to take down the pot.

Velcic Forces a Fold From Hahn

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

The player under the gun raised and was called by Matthew Velcic in middle position before Michael Hahn re-raised to 2,000 from the hijack. Only Velcic made the call.

The flop came {2-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Velcic checked. Hahn threw out a continuation bet totalling 1,500. Velcic called.

The turn brought the {5-Hearts} and Velcic checked once again. Hahn bet 1,500. Velcic raised to 3,500. Hahn called.

The {10-Clubs} completed the board and Velcic tossed out 10,000. Hahn snap-folded and Velcic was awarded the pot.

Little Pot For Suchanek

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Action folded around to the cutoff where the players limped in. Jan Suchanek called in the small blind and Morten Mortensen called in the big blind as well.

The flop was {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and all three players checked to see the {K-Spades} on the turn. There, Suchanek led out with a bet of 400. Mortensen called as did the cutoff.

On the {10-Clubs} river action checked over to the cutoff who put out a bet of 1,600. Suchanek called while Mortensen folded. The cutoff sheepishly turned up his {q-Spades}{9-Spades} but it was no good as Suchanek revealed his {K-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} to take down the pot.

Rolfe Eliminates Hovagimian

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante
Matt Rolfe
Matt Rolfe

On a board of {2-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{2-Clubs}{9-Spades} Matt Rolfe moved all in for just over 17,000 and was called by Vahe Hovagimian who had slightly less.

Matt Rolfe: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Vahe Hovagimian: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Rolfe had the over-pair and the dominating lead against Hovagimian who had flopped top pair. The {2-Hearts} on the river would improve Rolf to a full house resulting in Hovagimian being eliminated early in proceedings.

*In the very next hand Rolfe opened from the cutoff and found no callers. Reza Vakili joked that good hands usually follow good hands. Rolfe then tabled his pocket aces after receiving the perfect starting hand twice-in-a-row.*
