Thomson Misses Potential Double Up After Chop

Level 6 : 300/600, 50 ante

John Thomson raised to 1,300 from under the gun before the player in middle position raised to 3,300. Thomson then three-bet to 6,700 and was called.

The flop came {5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Thomson bet 7,000. His opponent tossed out 25,000. Thomson moved all in for 27,000. His opponent called.

John Thomson: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Opponent: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

"Chop outs," announced Corey Kempson, as the dealer produced the {6-Diamonds} on the turn.

The river did in fact deliver the {3-Clubs} to see Thomson split the pot with his opponent.

Thomson raised a finger to his mouth and told Kempson to 'shush' following the hand, a polite warning for future hands.
