Chao Duan Eliminated in (17th Place $4,688)

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Action was already in the river and Chao Duan looked to have moved in before the flop. He was up against Graeme Putt and Aaron Li who had heads-up action on the side.

The board was {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Putt was first to act on the river. Putt put out a bet of 35,000 which Li called after giving it a couple seconds of thought. Putt turned up his {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} for two pair but Li had him beat with {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} for a better pair. Duan was forced to turn up his {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} which was no good so he was sent to the rail in 17th place.

For his run, Duan will take home $4,668.

Starr Doubles Through Lowrie

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Action was four-way on a flop of {J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Andrew Star put out a bet of 40,000 from the big blind. Players quickly folded back to Zaz Lowrie in the small blind and he moved all in for 126,000 effective with the covering stack on Starr. Starr quickly called.

Andrew Starr: {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Zac Lowrie: {A-Hearts}{7-Spades}

Lower would've normally been in ok shape with his pair and a flush draw, but a few of his outs were actually dead as they would make Starr a straight flush. The turn was the {K-Clubs} which changed nothing and the river was the {J-Diamonds} so with that, Starr earned a full double up.

Lowrie Check-Raises the River for a Small One

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Aaron Li opened the action with a raise from the cutoff to 18,000. Zac Lowrie called in the big blind.

The flop was {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and both players checked to see the {A-Diamonds} hit the turn. There, Lowrie checked. Li put out a bet of 16,000 and Lowrie called.

The river was the {2-Spades} and Lowerie checked again. Li put out another bet, making it 32,000. Lowrie thought for a few seconds then sprung to life with a check-raise to 105,000. Li thought about it but released and Lowrie was able to take down a pot.
