The remaining 50 players are taking a quick 15-minute breather before action resumes.
Highlight from the Last Level:
Allan Tirel kicked things off with a raise to 125,000 from late position, and Thomas Hall in the cutoff made the call. On the button, Michael McNicholas went all in for 705,000. Tirel thought it over and called, while Hall folded.
Michael McNicholas: A♥K♠
Allan Tirel: A♣Q♦
The board ran out 7♥K♥5♣10♥2♣, giving McNicholas top pair and a crucial double-up.
Start of day chip leader Rokas Asipauskas opened to 100,000 from the hijack and was called by Hengtao Zhu from the button. Diogo Coelho then jammed for 420,000 from the small blind. Asipauskas folded to put the action on Zhu. Zhu shrugged his shoulders, and chucked in a chip after some thought.
Diogo Coelho: A♣8♣
Hengtao Zhu: 10♦8♦
Coelho had Zhu dominated, and looked certain for a double after the K♣Q♠7♠ flop and 3♦ turn. However, the 10♥ came on the river, giving Zhu a pair to secure the elimination.
Lazare Kalebashvili opened to 100,000 from the cutoff. Gabriele Guerrini three-bet to 780,000 from the small blind, leaving 150,000 behind. Kalebashvili jammed, and Guerrini put in his last few chips.
Gabriele Guerrini: A♦8♥
Lazare Kalebashvili: A♠K♣
Guerrini called for the 8♠, which Thomas Hall "too greedy" but the poker gods didn't think so as the 8♠6♦3♣ flop came down to give Guerrini the pair he asked for.
However, the K♥ turn quickly turned the tables Kalebashvili's favor and he sealed the pot with the 7♣ river.
Stefan Dimitrov opened from early position and picked up two callers.
On the 3♥Q♠4♣ flop, Thomas Eychenne in the big blind and Dimitrov checked to Mamon, who led out with a bet of 100,000. Both players called, sending the action to the A♠ turn.
The turn checked through, and the 8♣ river saw Dimitrov take the lead with a bet of 175,000. Mamon fired back with a raise to 700,000. Eychenne folded quickly, and Dimitrov followed soon after, leaving Mamon with the pot.
Daniele Sacchi, in the small blind, jammed for 540,000. Shiina Okamoto, in the blind, asked for a count and then called.
Daniele Sacchi:J♦3♠
Shiina Okamoto:K♦6♦
Sacchi was in a world of hurt after the K♠9♦2♥ flop. The 4♥ turn locked up the pot for Okamoto ahead of the 10♥ river
Nizar Comaty shoved all in for 650,000 from under the gun, and short-stacked Diogo Coelho in the big blind called with his 235,000.
Diogo Coelho: Q♠9♠
Nizar Comaty: A♠5♦
The board ran out 4♦4♠7♣9♥4♣, giving Coelho two pair and a big double-up, leaving Comaty short.
On the very next hand, Vasileios Panagiotidis opened from early position, and Comaty shoved his big blind for 365,000. Panagiotidis made the snap-call.
Nizar Comaty: 6♠5♠
Vasileios Panagiotidis: K♥K♠
Comaty needed some help, and while the board gave him a few sweats, nothing came through. It ran out 8♠4♥6♦8♥Q♦, and Comaty was eliminated from the event.
