Moorman Loses a Chunk to Liu

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Chris Moorman looked to have put in a three-bet small blind versus cutoff and he bet 33,000 on the {k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. Qing Liu called, bringing a {k-Diamonds}. Moorman checked and pretty quickly called 70,000 from Liu. Both players checked the {5-Clubs} and Moorman tabled {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.

No good, as Liu had {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}.

Anderson Pays Rheem

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Chino Rheem bet 230,000 into a pot that looked to contain around 350,000. He was in middle position, with the board having come {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. James Anderson thought about a minute from under the gun then placed a chip in the middle.

Rheem spun {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} in for the flopped nuts and Anderson flashed {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

Anthony Zinno Eliminated on the Bubble

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Anthony Zinno
Anthony Zinno

Anthony Zinno looked to have opened on the button and called all in for about 220,000 against Matthias Auer in the small blind.

Auer: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Zinno: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Zinno was in good shape on the {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop but the {a-Hearts} turn left him in need on the river. It was a {9-Clubs}, ending the bubble and busting Zinno.

Hendrix Steamrolling

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Erik Cajelais opened under the gun and called a three-bet by Adam Hendrix a couple of seats over. Both players checked the flop for a board of {7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{a-Spades}. Cajelais check-called 52,000. On the {q-Spades} river, Cajelais checked and Hendrix bombed it for 320,000.

Cajelais called almost immediately but Hendrix tabled {k-Spades}{j-Clubs} for the nuts.

Miracle Double Keeps Bubble Alive

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

On a flop of {j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}, all the money went in with Henok Sellasie bet-calling off about 94,000. He flipped over {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} then tossed his chips in disgustedly when his opponent on the left flashed pocket jacks before the dealer ordered them to turn their cards back over.

When an interminable hand ended at another table at long last, Sellasie was ready for the pain to be done. However, the {6-Clubs} hit the turn and his opponent had {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}, meaning he was live.

"That's as sick as it gets," someone muttered.

Then, the {7-Clubs} completed the board and Sellasie pumped his fist and shouted in celebration before apologizing to his opponent, who seemed unperturbed by the wild beat and shrugged.

Moorman Back from the Brink

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Chris Moorman opened early, Upeshka De Silva three-bet him in the cutoff, and the big blind shoved all in for about 230,000. Moorman called for less and De Silva mucked.

Moorman: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Opponent: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The {7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{q-Hearts} flop had Moorman moving to exit but the {a-Diamonds} stopped him in his tracks. The {2-Diamonds} means the tournament continues hand-for-hand play as Moorman collected about 185,000.

Cold Shove Chases Pupillo

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Jeff Trudeau opened in the hijack, Nick Pupillo three-bet to about 54,000 in the cutoff, and Paul Balzano was thinking things over in the small blind. He moved all in for around 330,000. Trudeau quickly folded.

It wasn't clear whether Pupillo was covered as the two players had very similar stacks. About a minute later, Pupillo surrendered.
