Berkey Escapes with a Chop

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

There was a raise to 1,400 in middle position and Matt Berkey three-bet to 4,400 on the button. Aram Oganyan four-bet to 10,400 in the small blind which got the original raised to fold but Berkey called.

The flop came {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Oganyan led out with a bet of 5,900. Berkey called and the {3-Spades} landed on the turn. Both players checked and the {5-Spades} completed the board.

With a straight on the board, Oganyan shoved all in and Berkey quickly called. Oganyan held {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and Berkey was lucky to escape with a chop holding {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}.

Simpson Gets Paid With a Flush

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

The action was picked up in a three-way pot of roughly 4,500 on a flop showing {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}. The small blind and big blind checked to Spencer Simpson in early position who bet out 2,000 and was called by only the small blind.

The {j-Clubs} hit the turn and both players checked their options to the {8-Spades} river. The small blind checked a third time and Spencer took a moment before tossing in a bet of 3,100. The small blind flicked in a chip for the call and was shown the bad news when Simpson tabled {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for the nut-flush to score the pot.

Ferraro Sends Ott to the Reg-Desk

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

Dillon Ott and Cole Ferraro were heads-up in a three-bet pot with around 12,000 in the middle. The flop came {3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Ott checked to Ferraro who just bet 1,000 on the button. Ott check-raised to 6,700 and Ferraro just called.

The turn was the {3-Hearts} and Ott jammed all in for his last 15,000 chips. Ferraro instantly flicked in a chip to call and turned over his {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. Ott needed some help with {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} but the {7-Diamonds} on the river sent him back to the registration desk for another entry.
