Ruben Perez Scores Monster Double Up

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

A player opened from middle position and Ruben Perez called in late position.

The flop was {k-Spades}{j-Spades}{8-Spades} and the player in middle position bet 17,000 into a pot of 17,500.

Perez then moved all in for 143,000. This equated to just under 50 big blinds and elicited a 'What the fuck!' from his opponent so loud it elicited turned heads from the other three tables still playing in the Opening Event.

"You flopped a flush?" he asked before calling.

Perez turned over {7-Spades}{4-Spades} and some more expletives escaped his opponent's mouth as they turned over {5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and the river the {6-Hearts} and Perez found himself raking in a monster double up.
