Kane Wins Another Monster

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Scotland's Michael Kane cannot be stopped.

He recently scooped another gigantic pot, this time against Stephen McHugh on a {7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{8-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} board.

There were already lots of chips in the middle by the time Kane led for 285,000 on the river.

McHugh made a fairly quick call and tabled his {a-}{a-}.

Kane, meanwhile, had the {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for a flopped set and scoop up the giant pot to move well into seven-figure territory.

Robert McLean Eliminated in 7th Place ($16,500)

Down to six!

Robert McLean was the latest player to find the rail.

He shoved the button for 114,000 holding {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and Michael Guzzardi isolated from the small blind with {a-Spades}{7-Spades}.

With that big blind out of the way, the dealer spread out a {k-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop.

"There's always a sweat," McLean said at the sight of hitting his king but facing Guzzardi's flush draw.

The {10-Hearts} turn was safe, but the {a-Diamonds} river gave Guzzardi the goods.

For that effort McLean took home $16,500. The six remaining have locked up $20,200.

Guzzardi Shoves River

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Michael Guzzardi was under the gun plus one when he opened it up to 32,000. Michael Doyle called on his direct left, Michael Kane called from the cut off and Raiden Kan called from the big blind.

On the {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop it was checked to Kane who bet 45,000. Guzzardi was the lone caller to see an {8-Clubs} lhit the turn. Two checks and an {8-Clubs} would complete the board on the river.

This time Guzzardi moved all in for 145,000. Kane opted to get out of the way and so the pot went to Guzzardi.

Gregory Wheeler Eliminated in 8th Place ($13,500)

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Gregory Wheeler - 8th place

After a slow start, we have lost two players in just a couple of minutes as Gregory Wheeler has fallen in eighth place.

His final hand began when Michael Kane opened it up to 32,000 from under the gun. Wheeler called out of the big blind and the dealer flipped over a {7-Spades}{9-Clubs}{j-Spades} flop. Wheeler moved all in for around 200,000 and Kane made the call.

Kane had {a-Spades}{3-Spades} for the flush draw, while Wheeler had {j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} for top pair.

The {8-Spades} turn gave Kane his flush and the {6-Clubs} river was the last card Wheeler would see.

Wheeler pockets $13,500 for his time, while Kane is well and truly the chip leader.

Bryan Huang Eliminated in 9th Place ($10,500)

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Bryan Huang - 9th place
Bryan Huang - 9th place

In an unlikely turn of events, start of final table chip leader Bryan Huang has been eliminated in ninth place.

The Team PokerStars Pro played his final hand when he moved all in from middle position for 120,000 holding {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

Navin Bechar, on Huang's direct left, found {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} and flat-called, while the rest of the table got out of the way.

The board ran out {q-Spades}{8-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} to send a dissapointed Huang home with $10,500.

Kane On a Rampage

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Michael Kane has gone on a rampage of late, first decimating Bryan Huang's stack and now taking plenty of Michael Guzzardi's chips.

This one started with Guzzardi opening to 32,000 from middle position. Kane called from the button and Stephen McHugh called from the big blind. On the {q-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop it was checked to Kane who bet 58,000. McHugh folded, while Guzzardi called.

The turn was a {9-Diamonds} and this time when Guzzardi checked, Kane bet 72,000. Guzzardi called and a {5-Hearts} completed the board on the river. Guzzardi checked for a third time and Kane moved all in with Guzzardi having 245,000 behind. Eventually Guzzardi folded and the pot went to Kane.

Huang Finds Double

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Team PokerStars Pro Bryan Huang was in the big blind for almost half his stack when Raiden Kan opened to 32,000 from early position. The action folded around to Huang in the big blind and he moved all in for just a little more. Kan called and Huang was at risk.

Huang: {q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}
Kan: {k-Spades}{5-Clubs}

The {3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} board was good for Huang and so he scooped the much-needed double.
