Kan Doubles Through Wheeler

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Gregory Wheeler is now the short stack after doubling up Raiden Kan.

Wheeler opened the button to 19,000 and it was three-bet to 44,000 by Kan. Back on Wheeler and he moved all in. Kan called off his stack of 164,000 and the cards were turned over.

Kan was at risk with {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} against Wheeler's {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}.

The {3-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} board was safe for Kan and with that, he was up to over 300,000.

Last Lady Zhu Gone in 13th

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

It was folded around to Yaxi Zhu on the button and she moved all in for her remaining 110,000.

Robert McLean made the call from the big blind and they tabled their cards.

Zhu: {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
McLean: {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}

The flop of {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} saw McLean’s jacks hold, and the turn {J-Hearts} sealed Zhu’s fate as McLean made top set.

Zhu was sent to the cashier in 13th place to collect $6,300 for her efforts.

McLean is up to 500,000.

Another Double, This Time Bechar

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

There have been double ups galore since returning from the dinner break.

This time it was Navin Bechar who doubled up.

His short stack was all in preflop with {6-Hearts}{6-Spades} coming up against Zhu's {a-}{k-}.

Zhu took the lead on a {5-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{a-Hearts} flop, but Behcar managed to hit a flush on the {9-Hearts} turn. The {8-Diamonds} river was of no danger to Becahr and with that, he scooped the much-needed double up.

Kan's Turn To Double

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

A battle of the blinds just saw Raiden Kan score a double when he found himself all in preflop for his last 97,000 against big blind Walter Treccarichi.

Kan: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}
Treccarichi: {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

Kan had Treccarichi dominated and with the flop {5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{10-Hearts} adding the nut flush draw he all but locked up the pot. The turn {7-Clubs} and river {J-Spades} bricked off to see Kan’s ace high hold for a nice double up.

Wheeler Doubles Through Big Stack

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Chip leader Bryan Huang just took a small hit when he doubled up Gregory Wheeler.

They got the money in preflop and Wheeler needed some help.

Huang: {A-Diamonds}{2-Spades}
Wheeler: {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}

The flop of {3-Clubs}{K-Spades}{10-Clubs} saw Wheeler shoot to the lead and Huang chasing an ace. The turn {K-Diamonds} meant Wheeler was a lock before the inconsequential {9-Spades} rolled off on the river.

Wheeler managed to stay alive and climb to around 240,000 in chips.
