God Save the Queens

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Nik Persaud raised to 2,000, a player called on the button, and Mike McDonald three-bet to 7,500. Persaud four-bet to 15,500, the player on the button folded, and McDonald moved all in for what looked like 60,000 or so. Persaud snap-called.

Persaud: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
McDonald: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Persaud's queens held up as the flop, turn, and river came {2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{k-Diamonds}, and McDonald hit the rail.

Lehmanski Knocked Out

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Maxi Lehmanski tabled {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} when he was all in for his tournament life and up against {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}. The board ran out {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} and the German pro was knocked out.

Flowers Doubles, Ulliott Drops

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

The board read {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} when Dave Ulliott turned over {Q-}{Q-} against Randal Flowers' {5-}{5-}. We missed the action but Flowers stacked up a ton of chips sending up to around 130,000 chips. On the very next hand both Flowers and Ulliott lost some chips to a third player.

Quoss' Kings Cracked

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante
Fabian Quoss (Super High Roller)
Fabian Quoss (Super High Roller)

After a series of preflop raises, Fabian Quoss was all in and at risk preflop holding {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}. His opponent, Antonio Lafosse, held {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}.

The {7-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{9-Spades} flop gave Lafosse two backdoor draws, and the {3-Spades} on the turn kept the spade draw alive. The river was a king, giving Quoss a set, but unfortunately it was the {k-Spades}, eliminating the German.

Trickett Thankful His Opponent Bet

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Viacheslav Goryachev checked to Sam Trickett, who just arrived, and the Brit fired out 7,600. Goryachev called.

The {5-Hearts} completed the board, Goryachev opted to lead out for 10,000, and Trickett frowned. He eventually reached into his stack, grabbed two blue T5,000 chips, and flipped them forward. Goryachev turned over {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs} for a pair of kings, and Trickett mucked his hand.

"I'm glad you bet," the British high roller told Goryachev, grinning.
