Thorel Pays off Peters

Level 1 : 100/200, 25 ante

On the {6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{7-Spades} river, Jean-Noel Thorel bet 1,025 and David Peters raised to 8,800 with the Frenchman making the call. Peters flipped over {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades} for the nut straight and Thorel let out a "oh crap" in French before mucking his cards. The next hand, Thorel three-bet an Alen Bilic open to 5,100 ... and then claimed to have misread the chips.

Vieira with some Early Chips

Level 1 : 100/200, 25 ante
Joao Vieira
Joao Vieira

Joao Vieira opened to 600 from the cut-off and found callers in Artem Litvinov in the small blind and Chance Kornuth in the big blind.

The flop came {5-}{3-}{2-}, with two clubs, and Litvinov check-called Vieira's bet of 1,100. Kornuth folded. The turn was the {9-} and again Litvinov check-called 2,300. The river was the {k-}, with the flush draw missing and Litvinov check-raised Vieira's third bet of 4,000 to 11,050 and Vieira called.

Vieira showed {2-}{2-} to win the pot with a flopped set, whilst Litvinov could only show {q-}{4-}.

Good Start for Patel

Level 1 : 100/200, 25 ante

Emil Patel, who has moved to Finland and plays online poker from there, was just spotted betting 6,600 on the river of a board {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Vladas Tamasauskas took his time before making the call.
