Desmotte and Shylkou Double

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Stanislau Shylkou doubled for 204,000 with {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} against the {a-Spades}{2-Spades} of Arnaud Enselme and the board came {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} to let the kicker play.

Soon after, Jean Desmotte clashed with Michael O'Grady and had the best of it with {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} versus {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}. The board ran out {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades} and O'Grady was left with very few chips.

Scott Strikes Again; Naicker Doubles Through Soltanov

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Patmaseelan Naicker doubled through Mikhail Soltanov when his last 88,000 went in before the flop with {k-Clubs}{k-Spades} versus {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and held up thanks to a {6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{8-Spades} board.

One table over, Teresio Ciacanelli got his stack in with {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for two pair on the {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop only for Jacquelyn Scott to turn over {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} for top set. The {7-Clubs} turn and 2s] river piled more misery on Ciacanelli, who grabbed his belongings and headed out of the tournament area.

Scott Doubles With Quads

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Jacquelyn Scott
Jacquelyn Scott

James Romero opened to 18,000 and picked up a call by Sergey Frizyak from one seat over. Jacquelyn Scott in the big blind moved all in for 276,000 and Romero was sent into the think tank.

"I don't think I can fold this one," he said and Scott replied "I'd love the double up." Romero then moved all in and suddenly Frizyak was also in the think tank, but ended up folding.

Jacquelyn Scott: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
James Romero: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

On the {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}{5-Spades} flop, Scott made quads and jumped up in joy. The {2-Spades} turn and {5-Diamonds} river didn't matter and Romero took a small hit to his big stack.

Big Double for Kurdin

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

In a battle cutoff versus small blind, the flop showed {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Vasily Kurdin clashed with Bruno Volkmann, the latter having check-raised and then jammed into Kurdin. An instant call followed and that was bad news for Volkmann.

Vasily Kurdin: {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Bruno Volkmann: {10-Clubs}{8-Spades}

Volkmann needed a king to avoid a major setback, but the {7-Spades} turn and {6-Clubs} river were both blanks to let Kurdin double for massive 580,000.

Colillas Jams Into Pu

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

On the three-way flop of {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, Ramon Colillas checked the small blind and Hirotaka Nakanishi bet 20,000 in the big blind. Weiran Pu on the button raised to 56,000 and Colillas moved all in. Nakanishi got out of the way quickly and Pu needed some time to come to the same conclusion.

Another Scalp for Romero

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
James Romero
James Romero

James Romero has no qualms continuing the seat open bonanza over at table 1, as he just busted another player to move up to 1.6 million in chips. On a {j-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop, it was Marco Reggini who checked and Romero who bet 25,000. Reggini check-raised all in for 152,000 and Romero called it off.

Marco Reggini: {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
James Romero: {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}

As spoilered by the lead, the turn {7-Diamonds} and river {2-Clubs} would end up being Reggini's final cards in this tournament, while Romero overtook Schemion on the leaderboard.
