Ye a Millionaire After Busting Petrushevskii

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Sergei Petrushevskii
Sergei Petrushevskii

It appears that Yi Ye is the first player to reach one million in chips after he just won a flip against Sergei Petrushevskii.

In a battle button versus big blind, Petrushevskii was all in with pocket fours against the {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} of Ye. A queen-high flop was followed by the {a-Diamonds} turn and that spelled the end for Petrushevskii.

Damir Gabdullin was eliminated prior and Emin Mugulov walked away from one table over just moments later.

Novoselov Doubles Through Pankov

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

On a flop of {k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}, Roman Novoselov ended up all in for 233,000 with the {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Vitaliy Pankov was in dire shape as his {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} needed running outs.

The {j-Diamonds} turn and {7-Hearts} river were insignificant and Pankov was reduced to nine big blinds.

Osipov Shows a Bluff

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Artur Osipov

There were already more than 330,000 in the middle when the completed board showed {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Emin Mugulov bet 65,000.

Artur Osipov took a sip from his Pepsi and pushed all in, which forced a fold from Mugulov. Osipov tabled {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and high-fived table neighbor Giorgiy Skhulukhiya.

Metelskiy Gets Rodrigues to Fold

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Two big stacks met when the turn showed {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Artem Metelskiy bet 75,000, which Michael Rodrigues called. On the {9-Hearts} river, Metelskiy double-checked his cards and made it 165,000 to go.

Rodrigues folded and Metelskiy raked in the pot.

Kovtunov Eliminated by Ye

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Yi Ye

Yi Ye raised to 26,000 and Vladimir Lelgant called from one seat over. Gleb Kovtunov jammed for more than 25 big blinds and Ye called, Lelgant folded.

Gleb Kovtunov: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Yi Ye: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

On a board of {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{7-Spades}, Kovtunov found no help and became the first casualty after the break. Day 1c chip leader Georgiy Agababaev followed right after to reduce the field to 68 hopefuls.

Final Break on Day 2 as 70 Players Remain

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Yam Hod Gilad was eliminated just before the remaining 70 players were sent on a 20-minute break. Another two levels of 60 minutes each remain for tonight.

Chupadal Busts to Leonov

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Siarhei Chupadal

Roman Korenev made it 18,000 to go and received a flat-call by Aleksandr Leonov from one seat over. Siarhei Chupadal then pushed for 161,000 and Korenev got out of the way.

Leonov mulled over his decision for half a minute and made the call.

Siarhei Chupadal: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}
Aleksandr Leonov: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

The better pocket pair held up on a {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} runout and that sent Chupadal to the payout desk.
