Back-to-Back Doubles Bring Grafton Back to Life

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Sam Grafton
Sam Grafton

Felipe Ketzer opened to 5,500 in early position and Sam Grafton ripped all in for 24,500 on his left. The action folded back to Ketzer who quickly called.

Sam Grafton: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Felipe Ketzer: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Grafton's pair of tens held on for a clean double-up.

"Now you can start talking again," Kayhan Mokri encouraged.

"I'm not here to perform for you," Grafton quipped back.

On the next hand, Ketzer raised to 5,500 again and Grafton moved all in for 55,000 this time. Tom Orpaz re-raised to 100,000 from the small blind which got Ketzer to fold his {a-Spades}{q-Spades}.

Grafton flipped over {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and was once again in a great spot against the {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} of Orpaz. The flop came {k-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Spades} which made Ketzer squirm in his chair. The {4-Diamonds} and {9-Clubs} runout secured Grafton another double to climb above starting stack.
