Carrera Finds a Six to Crack Jackson's Cowboys

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Tommaso Castellano opened to 2,400 from under the gun and Rolando Carrera shoved almost 30,000 from the cutoff. Ben Jackson was in the small blind and committed his stack of around 65,000, which got Castellano to reluctantly fold.

Rolando Carrera: 66 All in
Ben Jackson: KK

Castellano seemed to be asking for no ace to come, which implies he folded one. Carrera was in dire need of a six, and found one as the Q56 flop propelled him into the lead. Jackson had two shots at two outs, but couldn't find either of them as the 7Q runout meant Carrera doubled up.

Kraous Flops the Joint, Bartoletti Calls Off on the River

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Anton Kraous
Anton Kraous

Anton Kraous led out for 3,000 on a flop of 965 and Andres Korn called in the big blind. Ivo Bartoletti then raised to 8,000 in the cutoff, and both opponents called.

Kraous bet another 12,000 on the 4 turn, and this time Korn got out of the way. Bartoletti, though, called to see the K river. Kraous then pushed forward a stack of his blue 5,000 chips, enough to put Bartoletti all in.

Bartoletti didn't take long before calling for around 25,000. Kraous then showed 87 for a flopped straight, and Bartoletti threw his cards into the muck and got up from the table. Because he was all in, the dealer retrieved his cards and turned over Q9 before sliding the big pot to the EPT Cyprus finalist.

Yantsevich Secures a Double Up

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Cards went on their backs on a flop of 99Q with Valery Yantsevich in the small blind at risk for 38,000 against Benjamin Jones in middle position.

Valery Yantsevich: AQ All in
Benjamin Jones: KQ

The 76 runout kept Yantsevich in the lead and he doubled up. Jones thought he was covered so he left the tournament area, but he still had 5,000 left.

Palma Out; Camargo Has a Stack

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Nicholas Palma had just a few big blinds in his stack, and they were already in the middle while Gaspare Sposato and Claudio Di Giacomo battled for the side pot.

The full board read Q10887, and Sposato's J9 was good as he flopped a straight. Palma's 22 were no good, despite him calling for a deuce on the river.

Di Giacomo's hand was already in the muck, which meant Sposato raked it in. Kaio Camargo is seated at the same table and has over 150,000 in his stack as the final break approaches.

Lai Shoves Into D'Ippolito's Boat

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Jun Lai raised to 2,500 under the gun and Marco D'Ippolito called in early position.

The flop came 788 and Lai bet 3,800. D'Ippolito called and the Q fell on the turn.

Lai checked and D'Ippolito bet 4,600. Lai then raised to 11,500, and D'Ippolito called.

The river was the J and Lai moved all in for around 30,000. D'Ippolito snap-called and turned over QQ for a full house, while Lai could only show 109 for a no-good straight as he headed to the rail.

With that pot, D'Ippolito moved up to almost 200,000. David Coleman, coming off a runner-up finish in the Super High Roller, is also at this table, as is Santhosh Suvarna.

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Ren Lin
Ren Lin

Ren Lin made it 2,000 to go from the hijack and Mario de La Campa called on the button. Leo Soma also came along from the big blind.

They saw a flop of 10108, where Soma checked and Lin continued for 2,000. De La Campa called, and Soma also called to see the 5 drop on the turn. After Soma checked, Lin fired again for 6,000. That got De La Campa to fold, but Soma stuck around in the form of a call.

A 4 dropped on the river and after Soma checked, Lin quickly bet a hefty 30,000. Soma just as quickly folded.

Apicella with Queens

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Anthony Apicella raised to 2,100 from under the gun. The hijack, Omar Del Pino on the button, and the big blind called.

On a flop of 939, everybody checked to Del Pino, who bet 2,800. Apicella called, while the two other players folded.

Del Pino fired a second barrel of 8,500 on the 6 turn. Apicella check-called once again to find the 4 river that he checked. Del Pino checked back, only to discover that Apicella had QQ to win the pot.
