"Welcome to Barcelona!"

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The tournament room had been filled with nothing more than the clattering of chips and some small, friendly table banter for most of the day...until Martin Kabrhel showed up to liven things up.

On one of his first hands, Kabrhel and Gustavo Morales built a pot of 17,500 as they went to a flop of KJ10. Morales bet 4,000 from the button and Kabrhel min-raised to 8,000 under the gun. Morales then moved all in.

"You have ace-queen of spades? I'll take the chance," Kabrhel said, before calling for his last 22,500.

Martin Kabrhel: AQ All in
Gustavo Morales: KK

"Small casino royale," Kabrhel said as he turned over the nut straight against Morales' top set. Morales needed to fill up to send Kabrhel to the rail, but Kabrhel dodged the 8 turn and 5 river to earn the double up.

"Welcome to Barcelona! Welcome to EPT Barcelona!" Kabrhel shouted out as someone from across the room yelled back, "Not like that!"

"Second place is not bad. Easy table. You didn't tell me this was such an easy table," Kabrhel added.

Ortega Picks Off Petrus

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Yurii Petrus shoved his last 11,000 in from middle position and Jacques Ortega called from the small blind.

Yurii Petrus: A10 All in
Jacques Ortega: 1010

Petrus needed to find that ace, but the 10QQ flop all but sealed his fate as Ortego flopped a full house. A queen was Petrus' best chance at survival as that would ensure at least a chop, but the 24 runout meant he was eliminated.

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Daniel Camelo Da Silva opened to 2,000 from under the gun. Fabio Peluso called from the button and Jeremy Ausmus defended from the big blind.

Camelo Da Silva continued for 2,000 on a flop of 86K. Ausmus was the only one to call, then both players checked the K turn.

On the Q river, Ausmus led out for 5,000 and managed to make Camelo Da Silva fold.

Hallaert Collides With Tsvetanov

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Martin Tsvetanov and Kenny Hallaert were once again clashing in the streets on a board of 83A6. There were around 9,000 in there when Tsvetanov checked from early position and then called a bet from Hallaert, who fired 7,500 from middle position.

A 10 landed on the river and Tsvetanov checked it over once again. Hallaert didn't slow down and threw out a bet of 18,000, which sent Tsvetanov into the tank. It took around a minute for him to make a decision, but eventually Tsvetanov slid his cards back to the dealer.

The turn was the 6 and Pfeiff checked over to Lococo who bet 11,100. Pfeiff called and the 4 fell on the river.

Pfeiff checked again, and Lococo pushed forward his entire stack of around 70,000. Pfeiff took a minute before folding, and Lococo raked in the pot.

Ticherfatine and Martinsson Split

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Three-way on a flop of QKK, Cecile Ticherfatine in the cutoff bet 2,000. Adam Martinsson called from the button, but Mihai Niște in the big blind folded.

Both Ticherfatine and Martinsson checked the 4 turn leading to the J river where Ticherfatine bet 3,000.

Martinsson eventually made the call with Q9, but Ticherfatine had Q9 as well so they split the pot.

Marin and Kovalevskiy Clash

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Serafim Kovalevskiy
Serafim Kovalevskiy

Hugues Girard made it 1,600 from under the gun and Serafim Kovalevskiy three-bet to 5,500 on the button. Sergio Carro Marin then four-bet the small blind to 13,500, which got Girard to fold. Kovalevskiy called.

They went to a flop of A3J, where Marin bet 4,500 and Kovalevskiy called to the 6 turn. Marin bet again, this time for 7,500, and Kovalevskiy called.

When the 10 hit the river, Marin slowed down with a check, and Kovalevskiy checked back. Marin then revealed that he rivered a set of tens with 1010, and Kovalevskiy looked disgusted as he mucked.
