Garshofsky Bets Out Zobian on the River; Beer Makes a Big Call For a Bust-Out

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Four players saw a flop of A6J when Mitch Garshofsky bet 1,200 from early position. Aram Zobian then raised to 3,700 in the hijack, and the table folded around to Garshofsky who called.

Both players checked the 5 turn. The river was the A and Garshofsky led out for 6,000. Zobian quickly folded.

At another table, Tor Beer and Apostolos Kofidis were at the river on a board of 271010K when Kofidis moved all in for 12,000 from the big blind. Beer tanked for several minutes under the gun before the clock was called on him.

Beer allowed the 30-second timer to nearly reach zero before he called, and Kofidis instantly threw his cards into the muck and got up from his seat. Beer turned over 99 to win the pot and score the knockout.

Carvalho Doubles Through Duta's Ambitious Bluff

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante
Manuel Carvalho
Manuel Carvalho

Manuel Carvalho raised to 700 in early position, getting called by Philipp Hasenburger in the hijack and Ermanno Di Nicola on the button.

Florian Duta sat in the small blind and squeezed in a three-bet to 5,200. Carvalho and Di Nicola called, while Hasenburger got out of the way.

Duta continued for 2,000 on the QAA flop. Carvalho raised to 5,600, forcing out Di Nicola. Duta was not satisfied, however, and clicked it back to 9,200. Carvalho called the min-raise, and the 3 fell on the turn.

Duta spent a while in the tank before he put Carvalho all-in. Carvalho snap-called for his stack of 12,900, and the cards were revealed.

Manuel Carvalho: QQ All in
Florian Duta: K10

Duta's bluff had no outs against Carvalho's flopped full house, and the meaningless 9 river rolled off as Carvalho raked in the huge pot.

Palma Can't Bluff Buhaiov

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante
Nick Palma
Nick Palma

Heads-up on a flop of A43, Nick Palma bet 2,500 from the small blind and Nazar Buhaiov called on the button.

The turn was the 10 and Palma led out for another 7,000. Buhaiov again called, and the 7 fell on the river. Palma then bet enough to put Buhaiov all in.

Buhaiov only took a few seconds before calling for his last 15,000, and Palma showed KQ for king-high. Buhaiov turned over AQ for top pair to earn the double up.

"I told you not to bluff," Buhaiov said to Palma after the hand.

"He did," tablemate Viet Vo added.

Dudka Spikes a Set to Take Out Piyatissa

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Sudesh Piyatissa moved all in for 5,600 from under the gun and was called by Jonathan Guez on the button and Sergiy Dudka in the big blind.

Dudka and Guez checked to the turn on a board of 9J105, when Dudka led out for 5,000. Guez quickly folded to leave Dudka heads-up with Piyatissa.

Piyatissa turned over A10, he was already drawing dead as Dudka showed JJ for top set. The river was the 6 and Piyatissa was sent to the rail.

Descouts Scores Double Knockout

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante
Jeremie Descouts
Jeremie Descouts

Lorenzo Negri had open-raised in early position, and Lander Lijo had three-bet in the next seat over.

Jean-Luc Labryga then four-bet jammed his stack of 8,400 from the cutoff, and Jeremie Descouts also moved all in from the big blind for 25,000. Negri quickly got out of the way, but Lijo quickly called, playing the same stack as Descouts.

Jean-Luc Labryga: A8 All in
Lander Lijo: KK All in
Jeremie Descouts: AA All in

Descouts flopped a full house on A22 for a gigantic lead, and officially locked up the pot on the 9 turn. The 3 river was of no consequence as Labryga and Lijo left the tournament area with haste.
