Fox Doubles with Aces

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

From under the gun, Scott Seiver raised to 1,800. Micah Raskin flatted in the next seat, then Elio Fox reraised to 5,800 from middle position. Seiver folded, but Raskin made the call.

The flop came down {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}, and Raskin led for 6,500. Fox raised to 15,500, and Raskin called.

The turn was the {6-Diamonds}, and both players checked to see the {3-Hearts} land on the river. Raskin checked, Fox moved all in for 21,400, and Raskin snap-called.

Fox showed the {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} and beat Raskin's {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} to double to about 88,000. Raskin was left with 23,000.

Three-Bet from Adams

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

From the hijack seat, Marc-Andre Ladouceur raised to 1,700. Victor Sbrissa made the call from the cutoff seat, then Timothy Adams raised to 4,300 from the button. Everyone, including Ladouceur and Sbrissa, folded, and Adams won the pot.

Esfandiari Gone

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

On the {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts} board, Govert Metaal checked to Antonio Esfandiari. Esfandiari fired 5,400, and Metaal made the call.

The river was the {3-Diamonds}, and Metaal checked. Esfandiari fired all in for around 12,000, and Metaal made the call.

Esfandiari's {8-}{8-} couldn't beat Metaal's {Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}, and he was eliminated.

Blom Gives Up on the River

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Viktor Blom is back below his starting stack after giving up on the river versus Alex Bilokur.

Around 13,500 had made it into the middle by the turn of an {8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{k-Clubs} board. Blom bet 10,800 from the hijack and called when Bilokur check-raised to to 26,000 from the small blind.

The river fell {10-Hearts} and Bilokur blew up his cheeks before he threw 10,000 across the line. Blom shook his head and folded to the small bet.

Got To Love Ole

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Ole Schemion certainly knows how to make his mark on a new table. The German starlet, fresh from taking down €5k PLO event for €59,200, forced Imed Mahmoud off a hand with a huge river raise.

Mahmoud bet 2,000 on the river of an {10-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} board and was soon raised to 20,000 by Schemion.

"Why so much?" asked Mahmoud. He received no response. Eventually he folded and Schemion grew a wide smile. "Want to see one?" he asked. Mahmoud shook his head.

Esfandiari did though and, with permission, opened the {6-Hearts}.

Minieri Bluffs Off Whole Stack to Kurganov

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante
Dario Minieri
Dario Minieri

Igor Kurganov is a very happy boy heading off to dinner break after Dario Minieri bluffed his entire stack to him.

Kurganov told PokerNews that the Team PokerStars Pro bet 8,000, 20,000 and all in for 57,000 on a {k-}{j-}{2-}{a-}{6-} board. Kurganov called all the way with ace-queen but didn't have to show as his Italian opponent mucked. Kurganov didn't ask Mineri to show.
