Hudson Drops One With Jacks

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Three players saw the turn with {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} on the felt. Action checked to the cutoff, who bet 5,000, just a little under the size of the pot. The small blind checked but Michael Hudson opted to stick around for the {6-Clubs} river.

Both players checked and Hudson turned over {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. It was no good against {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}.

Lawrence Out, Reichard In

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante
Josh Reichard
Josh Reichard

Everett Lawrence got his last 5,600 in preflop out of the blinds and was called in two spots. His opponents in late position checked down {9-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{a-Spades}{j-Spades}{j-Hearts} until the cutoff finally bet the river into a dry side pot and forced a fold. That player showed {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for runner trips and Lawrence mucked his {a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} face up.

At the next table over, Josh Reichard took a seat. He won this event when it was held in December 2018 for over $220K, and he already had nearly 50,000 moments later. According to the players at the table, Reichard flopped quads the first hand he sat and busted someone.

Whittington Busted

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante
Blake Whittington
Blake Whittington

On a flop of {3-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}, Blake Whittington raised all in from middle position over an opponent in late position. That player had put in 6,000 into a pot of about 10,000, and Whittington jammed for 22,900. His opponent thought a bit and called, and Whittington tabled {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for the nut flush draw.

He was up against {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and the board bricked out with {j-Spades} and {2-Clubs} to leave Whittington heading to reenter, which he did straight away.

Sibson Doubles Before Break

Level 3 : 100/300, 0 ante

Three players saw a {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop for 1,900 apiece on a three-bet out of the cutoff. Tracy Sibson got his stack of 15,900 in on the flop against the preflop aggressor, having outflopped {k-}{k-} with {10-}{10-} for a set. The turn and river ran clean for Sibson and he headed on break with a freshly doubled stack.

Players return to action in 15 minutes.

Stammdogg Down Early

Level 3 : 100/300, 0 ante

Keven Stammen bet 2,000 from the small blind on {2-Spades}{6-Hearts}{j-Spades}{7-Spades} and Mike Kamenjarin called him from the hijack. On the {6-Spades} river, Stammen check-folded for a bet of 4,000, leaving himself with about 6,000.

That was gone in short order, but we expect to see "Stammdogg" back in action soon.
