Hinkle Can't Bet Out a Chop

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

After a raise from a player in middle position and three callers, Blair Hinkle three-bet to 13,000 in the big blind. The middle position player called, and everyone else folded.

Hinkle led out for 10,000 on the {3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop, and his opponent called.

Both players checked the {4-Diamonds} turn, and Hinkle jammed for 39,100 on the {5-Spades} river. His opponent called, and after Hinkle showed {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}, his opponent rolled over {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and the duo chopped the pot.

Welcome Back, Scotter

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

With a dead small blind and temporarily playing six handed while the floor broke a table, Aaron Massey opened to 2,600 under the gun. Action folded around to Scotter Clark on the button, who said, "Raise it," as he dropped 9,000 in front of him. Blake Whittington gave up his big blind, and Massey quickly laid his hand down as well.

Hammers Chips Up Through Alexander

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Joseph Fine raised to 2,500 from middle position, and John Alexander called in the hijack. Tom Hammers three-bet to 6,800 from the button, and after Fine folded, Alexander called.

"How many 5k chips you got?" Hammers asked Alexander, who responded, "Four."

The {q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} board was checked down, and Alexander said, "Ace-high."

"How high?" Hammers asked, and after Alexander showed his {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, Hammers won the pot with his {a-Spades}{8-Spades}.

Charlie Dawson

Charlie Dawson had his last few thousand in chips at risk preflop from the big blind against Blake Whittington in the small blind.

Charlie Dawson: {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Blake Whittington: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Whittington held up on a {5-Spades}{j-Spades}{5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} board, sending Dawson, who already won three preliminary events in this series, out the door.

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Gallagher Doubles through Pupillo

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Gallagher ripped in 18,300 heads up on the river with about 34,000 in the middle.

The board read {5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}, and Pupillo asked for a count. The dealer informed him of the total, and he quickly called.

Jered Gallagher: {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Nick Pupillo: {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

Though way ahead preflop and having flopped top set, Pupillo couldn't hold versus Gallagher's open-ender.

Reichard Drills Turn for a KO

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Heads up on a flop of {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{k-Clubs}, Josh Reichard in the big blind checked it over to his under-the-gun opponent, who put out a bet of 2,500. Reichard called.

When the {8-Spades} fell on the turn, Reichard checked again, and the player under the gun tossed in a 5k chip. Reichard check-raised to 16k, and his opponent quickly jammed for about 20,000 more. Reichard snapped him off, turning over {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs} for the second nuts.

His opponent's {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} couldn't improve on the {4-} river, and Reichard added the pot to his already substantial stack.

Clark Wheels Up a Win

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Scotter Clark
Scotter Clark

Scotter Clark raised to 3,000 from middle position, and was called by the cutoff, as well as Charlie Dawson in the big blind.

Dawson checked the {8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop to Clark, who bet 6,100. Both of Clark's opponents called.

The {3-Hearts} turn was checked through to the {9-Hearts} river, where Dawson bet 5,700. Clark raised to 18,000, and after the cutoff folded, Dawson called.

Clark flipped over {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for the wheel, and Dawson said, "Nice hand," before mucking.

"Thank you. I'm a hi-lo player!" Clark said with a smile.
