2026 Irish Open
Level: 24
Blinds: 20,000/40,000
Ante: 40,000
The 199 remaining players have been sent on their final 20-minute break of the night.
When they return, they will play two more 60-minute levels before Day 2 wraps up.
Seeing a raise to 60,000 ahead of him, Vincent Dynes three-bet to 165,000 from the small blind. The action was back in the initial raiser, Tudor Bartha, who called.
The dealer spread a 10♠7♦K♦ flop, and when Dynes continued for 250,000, Bartha returned his cards to the dealer.
Valentin Cristea opened to 60,000 in the cutoff before facing an all-in for 245,000 from Andrew Toole in the small blind. Cristea toiled with his decision but decided to flick in the call.
Andrew Toole: A♣9♣
Valentin Cristea: A♦6♦
The 10♣5♦7♦ saw Cristea pick up plenty of equity, and when the 4♦ saw him take an insurmountable lead, Toole stood up from his seat, ready to leave.
The J♠ completed the board, and Toole headed out of the tournament area.
In a pot worth 250,000, Brett McLaughlin checked the 6♣5♥3♣9♣ turn from the big blind to Steve O'Dwyer in early position. O'Dwyer fired a bet of 160,000, which McLaughlin raised all-in for 650,000.
O'Dwyer spent some moments in the tank before he shrugged and tossed in calling chips.
Brett McLaughlin: 9♥6♦
Steve O'Dwyer: 6♠6♥
McLaughlin clapped his hands when he revealed his cards, but his two pair was drawing very thin against O'Dwyer's set. The 4♦ river did not provide McLaughlin with an out, resulting in his exit.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to slowroll you," O'Dwyer apologized as he raked in the chips.
McLaughlin took no offense and said some goodbyes to his former tablemates before picking up his payout.
Raphael Verdugo raised to 60,000 from early position, and was met with a three-bet to 175,000 by Guillermo Giner in the cutoff. After Verdugo finished a round of questions about Giner's remaining stack, he made the call.
The dealer provided a J♠6♥5♥ flop, which saw Verdugo check-call a bet of 155,000.
Verdugo checked for a second time, but then folded when Giner moved all in for 495,000.
