Svendsen Hero-Calls Meegan to Rail

Level 20 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Kenneth Svendsen checked from the big blind on a completed board of 78923. Tadgh Meegan then moved all in for 410,000, which looked to be an overbet of around one and a half times the pot.

Svendsen went deep into the tank, but eventually found a call with the covering stack. Meegan could only show queen-high with his QJ, leaving Svendsen to take the pot with J10 for a flopped straight.

Xu Four-Bet Jams Into Kassouf

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Hongting Xu opened to 26,000 as first to act. The action folded to Will Kassouf in the small blind, who took some time before three-betting to 86,000.

Xu responded with an all-in four-bet, sending Kassouf into the tank once again.

"Do you want me to call?" Kassouf asked Xu, but he got no response from his opponent.

Eventually, Kassouf forfeited the pot by mucking his cards, and the chips were sent Xu's way.

Walsh Comes Out Firing

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Sergiu Covrig opened to 27,000 from under the gun, which both Gerard Walsh and Adam Nattress called in the small and big blind, respectively.

The dealer burned and turned a A2Q flop, and Walsh didn't hang around. Taking over the betting lead, he flicked 20,000 into the middle. Nattress folded, but Covrig called.

The flush-completing 4 joined the board, and Walsh stuck with the same strategy, putting another bet of 20,000 into the middle. Covrig tapped the table in appreciation of the play and returned his cards to the dealer.

Walsh flipped over the A, showing the table he had a pair.

Gruicic Picks Up Aces, Eliminating Nasseri

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Stribor Gruicic

Stribor Gruicic opened to 25,000 from early position, which met a three-bet to 75,000 from Navid Nasseri in the big blind. Gruicic took his time in formulating a response plan, ultimately electing to move all in. Nasseri called off his stack of roughly 320,000, putting himself at risk.

Navid Nasseri: JJ All in
Stribor Gruicic: AA

It was the worst possible news for Nasseri, who only had two immediate outs to save his tournament life.

The 10Q8 flop offered an extra lifeline, but the board bricked out with the 2 turn and 3 river.
