There was a raise to 600,000 from early position before Ege Guven three-bet to around 2,000,000 from the hijack. Hassanin Hashim four-bet shoved the button for 10,100,000, which got the initial opener to fold. Guven called and the cards were turned over with Hashim at risk.

Nikitina had Christoforou crushed as the two saw the flop come down 7♣5♣7♥. The J♠ turn meant only a two-outer on the river would send Nikitina to the rail. The river was the 9♣ to give Christoforou the winner with a full house, ending Nikitina's Main Event dreams in brutal fashion.

Dawid Smolka limped in from the small blind with 6♦4♦ and Alexandros Kolonias checked with Q♦3♥.

They saw the 6♠8♥6♣ flop where Smolka check-called a bet of 600,000 from Kolonias to the 9♦ turn, where again Smolka checked. Kolonias fired out, this time for 1,200,000, and again Smolka called with his trips.

A 4♥ on the river gave Smolka a full house and both quickly checked it down, allowing Smolka to take it down.

An A♦ dropped on the river and Larabi shoved for 3,400,000. Covrig had close to 13,000,000 in his stack and burned through some time banks before he eventually made the call.

Larabi then showed 7♥7♦ for a set, and Covrig's A♠5♥ went into the muck.
