Cowboys Help Hashim to Double

Level 23 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Hassanin Hashim
Hassanin Hashim

There was a raise to 600,000 from early position before Ege Guven three-bet to around 2,000,000 from the hijack. Hassanin Hashim four-bet shoved the button for 10,100,000, which got the initial opener to fold. Guven called and the cards were turned over with Hashim at risk.

Hassanin Hashim: KK All in
Ege Guven: AK

Hashim was on the right end of a cooler and would see his chip stack skyrocket if he could avoid an ace. The board ran out QJ8Q3, which meant Hashim's Cowboys held up, earning him the double.

Brutal River Ends Nikitina's Main Event

Level 23 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Natalia Nikitina
Natalia Nikitina

Andreas Christoforou made it 675,000 from the first position, and Natalia Nikitina three-bet to 1,600,000 from the big blind with around 5,000,000 behind. Christoforou thought for a few moments before he shoved to put Nikitina all in. Nikitina snap-called.

Natalia Nikitina: KK All in
Andreas Christoforou: 99

Nikitina had Christoforou crushed as the two saw the flop come down 757. The J turn meant only a two-outer on the river would send Nikitina to the rail. The river was the 9 to give Christoforou the winner with a full house, ending Nikitina's Main Event dreams in brutal fashion.

Kolonias Wisely Checks Back

Level 23 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Dawid Smolka limped in from the small blind with 64 and Alexandros Kolonias checked with Q3.

They saw the 686 flop where Smolka check-called a bet of 600,000 from Kolonias to the 9 turn, where again Smolka checked. Kolonias fired out, this time for 1,200,000, and again Smolka called with his trips.

A 4 on the river gave Smolka a full house and both quickly checked it down, allowing Smolka to take it down.

Heredi Sents Hartman Packing

Level 23 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Pascal Hartman
Pascal Hartman

Pascal Hartman had his stack of around 4,200,000 in the middle from the hijack and was put at risk by Daniel Heredi in the small blind.

Pascal Hartman: 1010 All in
Daniel Heredi: JJ

It didn't look good for Hartman and the J93 flop made it worst as Heredi made top set. A K on the turn did give Hartman a sweat with a gutshot, but the 3 river bricked off, meaning he was out.

Mustafa Biz

Mustafa Biz put his last 400,000 across the line from under the gun with only Samuel Dray making the call from the big blind.

Mustafa Biz: 105 All in
Samuel Dray: K8

Biz was behind, but did have two live cards working for him. The flop came 1094 to put Biz in the lead with a pair of tens. The J turn gave Dray a straight draw. The river was the Q, improving Dray to a straight, and eliminating Biz from the tournament.

Larabi Flops the Jackpot

Level 22 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Bernard Larabi
Bernard Larabi

Bernard Larabi opened from early position and Sergiu Covrig three-bet to 1,400,000 from the next seat. When it got back to Larabi, he called.

The flop came down 547 and Larabi decided to lead for 650,000. Covrig called to see the 3 fall on the turn and Larabi continued to fire, this time for 1,100,000. Again, Covrig called.

An A dropped on the river and Larabi shoved for 3,400,000. Covrig had close to 13,000,000 in his stack and burned through some time banks before he eventually made the call.

Larabi then showed 77 for a set, and Covrig's A5 went into the muck.
