Orhan Ates opened to 100,000 from middle position and Moussa Ahmad called on the button before Milos Petakovic shoved from the small blind for around 400,000. Ates reshoved behind with around 1,500,000, and Ahmad eventually folded.
Milos Petakovic: 9♠9♦
Orhan Ates: A♦K♥
It was a classic flip, and one that seemed to be going Ates' way as he paired his ace on the A♠7♠5♣ flop. A 5♥ on the turn left Petakovic one card from the sidelines, and the 2♥ river sent him there.
Gregoire Auzoux got his stack of 180,000 into the middle preflop, with Giorgiy Skhulukhiya trying to send him to the exit.
Gregoire Auzoux: 9♣9♥
Giorgiy Skhulukhiya: A♣J♠
Auzoux needed his two nines to hold up against the overcards of Skhulukhiya. A clean board of 3♥Q♦2♣8♠3♦ came out for Auzoux, which allowed him to double-up through Skhulukhiya.
After play resumed, the inevitable all-in buttons started to earn their keep inside the tournament area.
Jesse Lonis was the first to go. He was followed by Edolo Ghirelli, who three-bet shoved his stack of 200,000 over an open and a call, and was put at risk by Michael Mizrachi.
Edolo Ghirelli: A♣8♣
Michael Mizrachi: 10♠7♠
Ghirelli was ahead, but Mizrachi found a ten on the turn after the dealer ran a board of 4♣3♥J♦10♦5♣, which ended Ghirelli's run.
Tamazi Skhirtladze then hit the rail, in slightly unfortunate fashion, when he got his last few big blinds in against Krasimir Yankov.
Tamazi Skhirtladze: J♠J♦
Krasimir Yankov:; Q♥9♥
Yankov managed to flop a pair and turn trips on the 5♦9♠K♠9♣4♦ runout, which ended Skhirtladze's tournament.
Nils Pudel three-bet jammed for around 180,000 over an open from Philip Joyce, who was under the gun. When it folded back to Joyce, he called.
Nils Pudel: 10♥10♦
Philip Joyce: J♠J♣
Pudel's pair was one lower than Joyce's, and he needed some help from the dealer to survive. The runout of 3♣K♣7♠3♠9♣ kept Joyce's jacks ahead the entire way, and Pudel was one of the first to head to the cashier's desk.
On the stone bubble, Daniel Mizrachi was forced all-in from the big blind for his last 20,000. Peng Chen opened under the gun, causing everyone else to fold. Once play was completed at the other tables, Mizrachi and Chen flipped over their cards.
Daniel Mizrachi: 8♣2♣
Peng Chen: A♣K♦
Chen's Big Slick was in the lead, although Mizrachi had two live cards working for him.
A flop of 3♠3♣6♠ helped neither player, but gave Mizrachi some potential backdoor draws. The 10♠ turn meant Mizrachi needed an eight or deuce on the river to survive and keep the GG Million$ on the bubble.
An A♦ peeled off on the river to give Chen a pair of aces, and Mizrachi was the bubble boy of the tournament. The remaining 76 players were all in the money.
Jesse Lonis raised the hijack to 45,000 and Xuming Qi shoved 183,000 from the small blind. When it got back to Lonis, he called.
Xuming Qi: A♣K♦
Jesse Lonis: J♠10♠
Qi was in the lead, but not for long as the 10♣4♠7♥ flop paired Lonis. A Q♠ on the turn also gave Lonis a flush draw, reducing the number of outs that Qi had.
However, luck was on Qi's side as he found the K♣ on the river, which gave him top pair and the double-up.
Arriving at the table to see Roman Stoika all-in and at risk against Michael Mizrachi. According to players at the table, Stoika opened under the gun, before Mizrachi three-bet from the cutoff. Stoika four-bet, then Mizrachi five-bet jammed for Stoika's stack of 880,000. Stoika called, creating a pot of 1,710,000.
After the rest of the tables finished, a huge crowd formed around the table, and the floor staff announced for the cards to be revealed.
Roman Stoika: A♦A♥
Michael Mizrachi: 7♣4♣
Mizrachi was going for it with two suited cards and had run into the preflop nuts of Stoika. However, with five cards to come, anything was possible.
The dealer put out a flop of 9♦8♦6♣ to offer Mizrachi a straight draw, and prompted the crowd to erupt in excitement of possibly witnessing a brutal beat on the bubble.
A card was burned, then the 7♥ hit the turn and Stoika just had to get a clean river to score the huge double up on the bubble. The 8♥ rolled off on the river and Stoika's aces held up, allowing him to pull in the pot of over 1,700,000.
Jeremie Zouari shoved 51,000 in from middle position and Toni Judet called in the big blind.
Jeremie Zouari: A♥7♣
Toni Judet: K♠5♦
Zouari was ahead, but the 5♥10♠5♠ flop left him with a lot of work to do as Judet flopped trips. Nothing changed on the 9♦8♥ runout, and Zouari was eliminated.
