2025 Onyx Super High Roller Series
Aram Oganyan jammed from middle position for 70,000 and Sukhrat Massimov called without looking at his cards from the big blind.
Aram Oganyan: 10♣10♠
Sukhrat Massimov: J♥6♠
Oganyan's pocket tens managed to fade a jack on the 3♣8♠Q♥ flop, but the 6♦ turn gave Massimov some extra outs. A clean 4♦ came on the river, and Oganyan survived.
At another table, Timo Vogt got his stack of 165,000 into the middle with Jesse Lonis trying to send him home just a few spots from the money.
Timo Vogt: A♣Q♣
Jesse Lonis: A♦10♣
Vogt was ahead with the better kicker, and because neither player improved on the 8♥5♣J♦K♠4♣ runout, Vogt's ace-queen high earned him the crucial double-up.
Heads-up to the turn on a board of 6♣9♣5♥J♦ and with around 320,000 in the pot. Jamil Wakil was first to act from the big blind and gathered together a bet of 165,000. Gumz used a time bank, then made the call to see a river.
Wakil opted to check the 10♠ river, and then snap-folded after Gumz put him all in for his stack of 375,000.
Michael Mizrachi raised to 40,000 from the hijack with Toni Judet calling on the button and Jeremie Zouari calling out of the big blind.
Zouari checked the Q♣7♦6♥ flop, which allowed Mizrachi to bet 61,000. Judet and Zouari folded, and Mizrachi showed top pair with the Q♠ in his hand.
[Removed:553] raised from the small blind and called after Adi Rajkovic shoved for around 300,000 from the big blind.
Adi Rajkovic: A♠8♦
[Removed:553]: A♣Q♦
Rajkovic was dominated by Simon's superior ace and looked likely to be eliminated just before the money.
The J♦Q♣6♣ flop put Simon even further in front, having paired his queen.
A 4♦ turn left Rajkovic drawing dead as an irrelevant 5♦ fell on the river. The pot went to Simon, and now everyone was just two spots away from the money.
With 79 remaining and 76 spots in the money, the floor have decided to start hand-for-hand play.
On a flop of 5♠4♠K♣, there were only around 80,000 in the pot when a series of raises and reraises left Abdullah Ahmad all-in for his stack of 639,000 against Jesse Lonis.
Abdullah Ahmad: 4♥4♦
Jesse Lonis: 7♠6♠
Ahmad had flopped bottom set, but needed to fade a lot as Lonis had an open-ended straight draw and a flush draw. Nothing changed on the 7♦ turn, and the 9♥ river bricked out for Lonis.
"How much is the damage? I was going for the win early on, I couldn't resist," said Lonis after the hand.
