Behbehani Slowrolls Boeree To The Rail

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree just walked by holding a chip-rack and a fresh stack, as she had been knocked out from the tournament.

"Salman slowrolled me," Boeree laughed, as Salman Behbehani took her remaining chips in the following hand.

The two friends tangled after Boeree had called a raise from the cutoff and Behbehani three-bet from the button. The initial raider, in middle position, folded and Boeree moved all in for 38,000 chips.

"When Salman tanked for a while and asked for a count, and for the bets to be pulled in, I knew what was going on," Boeree laughed.

Behbehani did indeed have pocket aces, and Boeree pair of sevens didn't stand a chance.

Yoon Soars as Sotiropoulos Busts

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Brian Yoon just raised to 2,300 and Georgios Sotiropoulos three-bet to 6,200 after which the action folded back to Yoon.

Yoon four-bet to 14,200 and Sotiropoulos moved all in for 47,000. Yoon called right away, creating a big showdown.

Sotiropoulos: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Yoon: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {2-Hearts}{4-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and Sotiropoulos was knocked out, wishing the remaining players the best of luck.

Kenney Gone Again; McKeehen Back In

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Joe McKeehen has jumped right back in action. Bryn Kenney did too after his bustout, but it did him little good as he was sent packing for a second time almost immediately.

Soshnikov Dispatches Reigning World Series of Poker Main Event Champ

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Joe McKeehen
Joe McKeehen

Joe McKeehen limped the button and Jared Jaffee did the same from the small blind. Ivan Soshnikov then raised to 4,200 from the big, McKeehen three-bet all in for 22,300, and Jaffe folded. Soshnikov made the call and the cards were turned up.

Soshnikov: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
McKeehen: {a-Spades}{4-Hearts}

It was a bad spot for McKeehen, and his best bet was to catch an ace. The {9-Spades}{j-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop was far from it, and the {5-Spades} turn didn't do him any favors. McKeehen needed an ace and an ace only on the river to stay alive, but it wasn't in the cards as the {J-Spades} paired the board.

Dietrich Just Won't Die

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Chance Kornuth raised to 2,200 only to have Michael Dietrich three-bet all in for 12,900. Action folded back to Kornuth and he made the call.

Kornuth: {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Dietrich: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Dietrich was well out in front thanks to his kicker, which made the difference after the board ran out {3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{k-Spades}{3-Spades}.
