Matthew Cerbone opened to 1,200 in middle position and was called by Robert Saladin in the cutoff. Michael Azzaro then three-bet to 5,700 from the small blind and both opponents called.
Azzaro led out on the 10♥K♦8♠ flop for 5,000 and only Saladin tossed in the call. The 4♣ turn saw Azzaro moved all in for 21,000, earning the pot as Saladin quickly folded.
Jeffrey Deegan opened to 1,200 in middle position and found calls from Matthew Zambanini on the button and Brandon Mulcrone in the big blind.
The monotone 4♣Q♣J♣ flop saw Mulcrone and Deegan both check before Zambanini slid out a bet of 1,100. Both opponents slid their cards to the dealer and Zambanini claimed the pot.
From March 21 through April 7, PokerStars PA hosted the Pennsylvania Spring Championship of Online Poker (PA SCOOP). The entire series – of which there were 43 numbered events, each with low, medium, and high buy-ins – catered to a combined 39,695 entrants and awarded $2,436,277.40 in prize money.
One of the big storylines of the online festival was the sheer number of repeat winners, many of whom are well-known grinders in the segregated market. A quartet of players tied for most titles with four apiece in “NutFlopper412”, “Dionysus1888”, “dabigquk1”, and “OMC Escher”.
Meanwhile, nine players notched three titles each, while another eight were on the board with a pair of titles. That included established Pennsylvania poker pro Zach ”KennyTheRipper” Gruneberg, a two-time WSOP PA Online bracelet winner and 10-time gold ring winner.
After defending her big blind, Jen Shahade checked the 10♥A♠7♠ flop and called when Jeremy Rodriguez fired a bet of 1,200 in middle position.
Shahade checked again after seeing the 9♥ turn, where Rodriguez continued for 5,500. Shahade did not take long to let her hand go, as Rodriguez raked in the chips.
Action was heads-up to the 6♣2♥9♥ turn, where Joseph Reddick led out for a bet of 3,600.
Donald Farnen took some time across the table before sliding out a raise to 10,500. Reddick took some time of his own before opting to lay it down, as Farnen took down the pot.
