Katchalov Not Runninggreat

Eugene Katchalov Eliminated
Eugene Katchalov Eliminated

Team PokerStars pro Eugene Katchlov has admittedly been running pretty well this year. But we all have our bad days.

Katchalov was just eliminated from the Main Event in brutal fashion to leave Mickey "mement_mori" Petersen as the lone member of Team PokerStars in the tournament. Canada's "Runninggreat" raised to 21,400 from under the gun and Katchalov and two others called. The flop brought {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and "diggidave" checked. Runninggreat bet 50,000 and Katchalov put in a raise to 136,000. The other two players got out of the way and Runninggreat re-raised enough to put Katchalov all in. Katcahalov called with {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and was in great shape against his opponent's {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, but the {A-Spades} fell on the river to send the Ukrainian pro to the rail in 66th place.

Earlier in the day, Katchalov finished second in the WCOOP $10,000 8-Game High Roller event for $140,000.

In middle position, "log1c007" min-raised to 20,000. Phil "takechip" D'Auteuil popped it to 52,400 in the big blind and was faced with a decision for all his chips when "log1c007" shoved with the bigger stack.

D'Auteuil called all in for 441,127 with {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades} and held against his opponent's {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} when the board ran out {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Spades}.

Seeing Gray

Grayson Ramage Eliminated
Grayson Ramage Eliminated

Grayson "gray31" Ramage's quest for back-to-back WCOOP Main Event final tables came to an end moments ago. The short-stacked Ramage moved all-in for 110,945 from middle position and Mike "goleafsgoeh" Leah called directly behind. The rest of the table folded and it was the pocket threes of Ramage needing help against the pocket eights of Leah.

The {2-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{8-Hearts} board gave Leah an unnecessary set on the river to eliminate Ramage in 75th place. Ramage earned $183,225 for his eighth-place finish in last year's WCOOP Main Event.

Joep “Pappe_Ruk” van den Bijgaart opened to 16,640 on the button and was called by "diggidave" in the small blind. David "Gunslinger3" Bach squeezed all in for 133,821 in the big blind, and van den Bijgaart isolated the pot with a shove.

van den Bijgaart: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}
Bach: {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}

The board ran out {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, bringing Bach's tournament to an end in 83rd place for $18,710.50.

Nice Double Eh?

Mike "goleafsgoeh" Leah has been working with a short stack for much of this tournament but just added some ammunition by doubling through Alex "Assassinato" Fitzgerald. "jadedjason" raised to 14,934 from the hijack and Fitzgerald three-bet to 32,868 on the button with {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. Leah then stuck his stack in the middle with a four-bet to 163,088 with {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}. jadedjason folded but Fitzgerald wasted no time in calling, and they were off to the races.

The {Q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{9-Clubs} gave Leah two pair and left Fitzgerald with less than five big blinds. We was eliminated a few hands later with {A-Spades}{10-Spades} to the {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} of "Hagbart55."

Buchanan's Bluff Leads To Bust

Shawn Buchanan - Eliminated
Shawn Buchanan - Eliminated

Shawn "buck21" Buchanan opened to 14,500 under the fun. Next to act, "serioga112" called and the rest of the table folded.

A {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop fell and Buchanan bet 12,345. A call from "serioga112" delivered the {9-Clubs} on the turn where Buchanan fired again, this time for 31,245. Another call from "serioga112" landed the {4-Diamonds} on the river. Buchanan shoved for 145,193, but "serioga112" snapped it off with {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}. Buchanan's bluff with {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} came up short, ending his tournament.
