Gardenhire Holds

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

On a flop of {2-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{10-Spades}, Justin Gardenhire got it in against a player who had about 18,000 left.

Gardenhire: {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Opponent: {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Gardenhire said he thought the two were racing but he turned out to be ahead, and he stayed that way on the {3-Clubs} turn and {6-Spades} river.

Bartlett Bounces Fish and Lilienthal

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Cody Bartlett opened to 2,400 in the cutoff, and Brandon Fish moved in from the button for what turned out to be 15,400. Clint Lilienthal called off for a tad less, and the big blind folded. Bartlett thought briefly and called.

Bartlett: {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Lilienthal: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Fish: {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Fish expressed disgust that his cards weren't live, and the board ran out {3-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{q-Spades}, helping nobody but Bartlett, whose fives won unimproved.

Tepen Back, Phan Out

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

As Ryan Phan told it, he check-jammed on the turn with {10-}{10-} on a board of all undercards with two spades, and Kipp Smith put him at risk with {k-Spades}{j-Spades} and got there on the river.

At another table, Ryan Tepen can't be accused of quitting easily as he's back for more. Jose Montes went bust at another table.

Hengen Busts Tepen

Ryan Tepen

Ryan Tepen opened to 2,000 early and got two callers. The big blind checked to him after {a-Hearts}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts} flopped, and Tepen bet 2,500. David Hengen gave him action in middle position and the big blind folded. Tepen said he was all in on the {5-Spades} turn and pushed about 18,000 in. Hengen called.

Hengen: {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Tepen: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}

Tepen needed a spade but the {5-Diamonds} missed him.

Tepen's seat was filled by fellow RunGood Pro Jose Montes.

Gardenhire Busts Fish

We came upon a three-way all in at Justin Gardenhire's table, with the RunGood Pro holding {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}, a short-stacked player {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, and Brandon Fish {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}. Fish had about 19,000, and "Gardy" had him covered. The dealer spread a flop of {10-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, giving Fish more outs with a straight draw.

"I like it," he yelled.

Gardenhire, for his part, rooted for a six, but running fours sent the pot his way.
