Both Day 1a and Day 1b are in the books at the RunGood Poker Series $575 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event $200,000 GTD from the Thunder Valley Casino Resort.

Tho Duong (494,000) bagged the chip lead from the Day 1a flight with 494,000 in chips. In Day 1b it was David Newton (624,000) who grabbed the lead late in the night.

The morning flight of Day 1a saw a total of 246 entries, with 31 advancing in the money to Day 2. Day 1b kicked off later in the afternoon and saw an additional 189 entries with 24 advancing.

Those flights combined for 435 entries, with just 55 players surviving the night. All remaining players are in the money and will return Sunday, Jan 9 at 11 a.m. for Day 2.

Players who have yet to advance have another chance on Saturday, Jan 8 at 11 a.m. for the final starting flight of Day 1c.

A few other players to advance to Day 2 include Bernard Lee (576,000) Jeff Platt (144,000) Julie Cornelius (124,000), Sayed Mousavi Rad (405,000), Blair Hinkle (62,000), and Theresa Cummings (353,000), who was down a single big blind at one point, before spinning it back up.
