Ryan Remington opened under the gun, Tony Piazza called in the small blind, and Cooper Wanty shoved in the big. Remington called it off for 441,000 and Piazza tank-folded.

Barnett Crippled on a Beat

Ryan Barnett checked from the big blind on a {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop, and Cooper Wanty bet 60,000 in the cutoff. Barnett slid in a raise to about 155,000 and Wanty shoved for 343,000. Barnett spent over a minute thinking then flicked in a chip.

The {8-Hearts} turn gave Wanty a straight draw. The river: {j-Hearts}, giving him a winning two pair, and it seemed he could scarcely believe his luck.

Dixon Doubles Through Rankins

A raising war saw Rich Dixon get it all in from the big blind with {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for 318,000 against Michael Rankins, on the button with {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. The flop came {j-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and Dixon was cursing his poor luck until the {10-Hearts} turn caused him to celebrate wildly. He could still lose or chop but the river was a safe {q-Diamonds}.

Wanty Eliminates Kiphardt

Cooper Wanty opened for 50,000 in middle position. Phil Kiphardt called off for 36,000 in the small blind, and the big blind came along but check-folded on the {9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}.

Kiphardt: {q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

The turn was a {6-Diamonds} and the river a {j-Clubs}.

"Good game, fellas," Kiphardt said.

Kiphardt Getting Short

David Sanchez bet 67,000 from under the gun on {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} in a multi-way pot, and Phil Kiphardt called on his left. The turn was a {j-Spades} and Sanchez bet 58,000. Kiphardt called again and the river was a {q-Hearts}. Sanchez bet enough to set Kiphardt in for about 100,000.

Kiphardt tanked about a minute and folded, and Sanchez showed {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}.
