Remington Falls To Mangan; Redraw Reached

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Ian Mangan
Ian Mangan

Just moments after doubling against pocket jacks, Ian Mangan opened to 40,000 in the cutoff and Ryan Remington re-jammed from the small blind for around 225,000. Mangan made the call.

Ryan Remington: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Ian Mangan: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

No help came for Remington as the runout {10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{8-Spades}{9-Diamonds} appeared onboard, bringing the end of his tournament life as a result.

Moments later, Thom Schultz and Phanora Prom were also eliminated to bring the field down to 27; the tournament clock has been paused with 3:50 remaining in Level 20 to redraw for the final three tables.

An updated seat draw and list of chip counts will be provided shortly.

Mangan Gets a Dub

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

A battle between Ian Mangan in the small blind and Bobby Garcia in the big blind saw all of the chips go into the middle preflop, with Mangan at risk.

Ian Mangan: {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Bobby Garcia: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

The flop {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} put Mangan out in front with trip eights but he was not out of the woods yet as the turn {10-Spades} gave Garcia an open-ended straight draw on top of his two jacks to improve to a full house. However, the river {5-Hearts} changed nothing and Mangan scored the dub as a result. His stack was totaled to be 250,000 exactly and Garcia paid it off, bringing him just north of half a million after including the ante from the pot.

Hart Runs into a Monster

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Al Hart
Al Hart

Al Hart open-jammed for 113,000 in the hijack and saw Corey Zedo give him action in the cutoff.

Al Hart: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Corey Zedo: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}

Hart's nines had run into aces, leaving him needing to hit a third nine to stay alive and instead found him drawing dead by the turn of a runout {4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{a-Spades}{8-Hearts} to bring about his elimination from the tournament.

As Hart was making his way to the payouts, Day 1a chip leader Michael Kinzer was also seen vacating his seat after finding himself dry on chips after running into pocket aces as well, and John Sun followed him shortly thereafter. Several others have done the same as of late, with the most recent chunk of eliminations ultimateyl bringing the field down to 30.

England Leaves Ector on Fumes

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Kyna England
Kyna England

Renard Ector raised in early position and action folded around to Kyna England, who announced she was all in on the button. Ector called.

Kyna England: {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Renard Ector: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

England was in bad shape but a ten appeared immediately on the flop {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{a-Spades} to bail her out, giving her top two pair over Ector's pair of aces. No queen came as the turn {5-Hearts} and river {7-Hearts} completed the runout to secure her the double. Her stack was counted to be 94,000 and Ector was left with just 40,000 after paying her off.

"That's How I Run! Of Course I Have Aces!"

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Max Young
Max Young

Dapo Ajayi opened to 30,000 in cutoff and was three-bet to 125,000 by Max Young on the button. Ajayi four-bet jammed for Young's effective stack of nearly 400,000 and Young went into the tank for more than a minute before announcing a call.

Max Young: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Dapo Ajayi: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

Ajayi tabled his aces immediately after Young announced, leaving Young to show everybody the bad news. He picked up four outs on the flop {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{7-Clubs} despite no hearts coming, but failed to complete his gutter to Broadway as {5-Clubs}{2-Spades} completed the runout to bring about his elimination from the tournament.

"That's how I run!" exclaimed Ajayi after taking down the pot. "Of course I have aces!"
