Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Josiah Godbey was in middle position and got all in preflop for 147,000 against Haim Or Krief, who was on the button and had previously chipped up to 1 million.

Kinzer Showers Two

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Andre Rieder was in the big blind and forced all in with the last of his chips preflop. Action folded to Matt Myers, who shoved for under 10 big blinds on the button and saw Michael Kinzer call in the small blind to try and knock out both players.

Andre Rieder: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Matt Myers: {a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Michael Kinzer: {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Kinzer connected with the flop {10-Spades}{k-Hearts}{3-Spades} to pull ahead of the other two players, remaining there and picking up a full house as the turn {10-Hearts} and river {10-Diamonds} completed the runout to score both pots and send both players to the payout desk.

Alex Wheeler
Alex Wheeler

Alex Wheeler was down to his last 8,000 and committed it in the hijack. Four other players 18,000 each, giving him a chance at more than quintupling his stack with a side pot already in the makings for the four remaining players.

Tyler Potts bet 35,000 on the flop {2-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs} under the gun, with Jay Teel calling in cutoff. David Blankenship also announced a call on the button and all three players checked the turn {5-Diamonds}, bringing the river {4-Diamonds} where Potts bet another 35,000 and received a fold from Teel and a call from Blankenship.

Alex Wheeler: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
David Blankenship: {5-Hearts}{3-Spades}
Tyler Potts: {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}

Both Blankenship and Potts hit a straight on the river to chop up both pots, eliminating Wheeler in 73rd place as the official Bubble Boy of the tournament.

Martinez Doubles Through Ajayi

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Anthony Martinez
Anthony Martinez

Dapo Ajayi opened on the button and received a call from Anthony Martinez, who defended his big blind. The flop came {q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Martinez check-called a continuation-bet of 18,000 from Ajayi.

Martinez checked again on the turn {8-Clubs} and Ajayi fired a second barrel, with Martinez check-jamming for 147,000 and Ajayi called. The two flashed their hands to one another briefly before leaving them face-down while play continued on all remaining tables.

Anthony Martinez: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Dapo Ajayi: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}

"I would have done the same thing," said Ajayi of Martinez's play. "I couldn't get away with just one over(card) on the flop. Nice hand."

Play then finished, hands were fully tabled, and Martinez held on the river {6-Hearts} to score the double.

Meanwhile, on an adjacent table Michael Wyporowich increased his stack by getting three streets of value with {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades} on a board of {2-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, betting the whole way against Peter Nigh and showing the best hand at showdown.

Myers Survives; Ector Triples

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Hand #1: Max Young opened to 14,000 in the hijack and Matt Myers re-jammed in the small blind for 36,000. Young called.

Matt Myers: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Max Young: {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

Myers picked up a major sweat as the flop came {5-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{8-Spades}, but the turn {3-Hearts} and river {4-Spades} kept his ace best and he scored the double to stay alive on the immediate bubble of the tournament.

Hand #2: On the very next hand, Renard Ector re-jammed for 42,000 in the small blind over a middle-position open. The big blind called, as did the original opener before the two checked through a board of {5-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{k-Clubs}.

Ector's {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} wound up best over the other players' {j-Clubs}{10-Spades} and {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} to score the triple, bringing about hand number three of the bubble.

Steven Tanner
Steven Tanner

Steven Tanner opened the action with a raise to 16,000 in the hijack and was called by Vincent Moscati on the button. Action went heads up to a flop of {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and Tanner continuation-bet 22,000. Moscati called.

Tanner fired another 32,000 on the turn {4-Spades} and Moscati called again, bringing the river {9-Clubs}. Tanner slid out two full stacks of 1,000-chips for a bet of 40,000 and Moscati went into the tank for over a minute before folding {j-Spades} face-up.

As Moscati folded, an announcement was made for dealers to hold up after finishing their current hand due to the recent eliminations of Francesco Campanile and Igor Gavrilov. Hand-for-hand play is now in effect with 73 players remaining and 72 set to make it into the money.
