Shortly before the dinner break it was Jerome Paveaux who was at the top of the chip counts, but with one level almost complete after the dinner break it is Winamax Team Pro Pierre Calamusa who has surpassed him and is now the outright chip leader with an astonishing 735,000.
It remains to be seen whether he can hold onto that chip lead towards the end of the night.

With players returning from their dinner break, featuring healthy portions of couscous on the special Moroccan night, there are three levels left in the evening.
There are 193 players left, and with 149 already through to Day 2 it looks like tomorrow is going to be a busy day as we play down to the money and beyond.

The remaining 200 players are going on a 75-minute dinner break, after which there will be just three levels separating them from joining the 149 players already through to Day 2.
Among the recent eliminations is Gaelle Baumann, who was sent to the rail by fellow Winamax Team Pro Pierre Calamusa, who is now the proud owner of an "I Killed O_RLY" commemorative button.
One of the first eliminations after late registration closed was Winamax Team Pro Leo Margets who moved all in with a flush draw on a 
board, and was called by an opponent holding a jack. The flush draw didn't get there and she was eliminated.
It may not be official just yet, with organisers double-checking online entries and potential no-shows, but it's clear that the 2018 Winamax SISMIX is one of the biggest Winamax events ever held, and the biggest poker tournament ever held in Marrakech in terms of field size!
