Jerome Launay Eliminated in 8th Place (€3,850)

Level 30 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Jerome Launay was the tournament short stack with around 12 big blinds and he got them in from the big blind after Philippe Guillou limped on the button. Guillou called.

Jerome Launay: {8-Spades}{10-Spades}
Philippe Guillou: {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

Both players picked up a pair on the {8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{a-Spades} flop but the {9-Diamonds} turn and {6-Spades} river didn't help Launay who was eliminated.

Szabo Takes From Clarke

Level 30 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

On a {4-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} board, Patrick Clarke bet 275,000 into a pot of around 300,000 out of the big blind and Gabor Szabo called on the button.

The river was the {5-Clubs} and Clarke checked. Szabo soon bet 535,000 and after a short tank, Clarke folded.

Henrique Sobral Eliminated in 9th Place (€3,850)

Level 29 : 30,000/70,000, 70,000 ante

Henrique Sobral had been quietly blinding off, folding to shoves as his chip stack grew shorter and shorter.

Eventually, he got his last 205,000 in from the cutoff and after Gabor Szabo raised to force out the players in the blinds, the cards were turned over.

Henrique Sobral: {k-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}
Gabor Szabo: {a-Hearts}{7-Spades}

There was a king in the window of a {2-Spades}{9-Hearts}{k-Clubs} flop and the {q-Hearts} turn changed nothing. However, the {a-Clubs} river saw Sobral eliminated as Szabo moved up closer to three million in chips.

The tournament is now one elimination away from a single table of seven.

Samuel Baneham Eliminated in 10th Place (€2,850)

Level 29 : 30,000/70,000, 70,000 ante

Samuel Baneham had around twenty big blinds when play resumed and he was all in with {10-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} against the {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} of Philippe Guillou.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} with the {4-Diamonds} giving both players a flush draw, albeit with Baneham's the worse of the two. The river was the {a-Hearts} and Baneham was eliminated in tenth place.
