Bellanger Boosts Stack Without Showdown

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Thomas Bellanger
Thomas Bellanger

After defending his big blind against a button raise, a larger pot unfolded with Thomas Bellanger in the mix. The Frenchman had previously boosted his stack significantly and would do so again, this time without showdown.

The board showed {j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{a-Hearts} and Bellanger made it 40,000 to go into a pot of around 70,000. His opponent on the button mulled it over for a bit and opted to fold.

Bougaret Knocks Out Redondo in Setup Hand

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Marc Bougaret
Marc Bougaret

With more than 80,000 in the middle to the {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs} river, Marc Bougaret jammed for 120,400 and that sent Ivan Redondo Herguedas into the tank. Eventually, the Spaniard called for slightly fewer chips and Bougaret rolled over the {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.

Redondo Herguedas smashed his {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} on the felt with some frustration and once the stacks were counted, his elimination was confirmed.

Gyongy Gets Petit To Fold

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Rosalie Petit
Rosalie Petit

In a battle of the blinds, Rosalie Petit limped in and Iosif Gyongy checked his option out of the big blind to the {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop. Petit bet 2,200 for her table neighbour to call and then sized up on the {6-Hearts} turn when she made it 10,000 to go. Gyongy raised to 30,000 and Petit opted to send her cards into the muck.

Merino Caceres Beats Gutierrez Garcia in Showdown

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Manuel Bardon raised to 4,000 on the button and Fabio Gutierrez Garcia called in the small blind. David Merino Caceres then three-bet to 18,000 in the big blind and Gutierrez Garcia was the only caller.

The {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop was check-called by Gutierrez Garcia for 15,000 and he did so again for 25,000 on the {2-Diamonds} turn. After the {q-Diamonds} river had gone check, check, Gutierrez Garcia tabled the {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} but Merino Caceres had that beat with {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for the superior pocket pair.

Hribernik Takes From Cohen

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Joining the action on the {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} turn, Jan Hribernik bet 10,600 from under the gun and was called only by Maurice Cohen on the button. They headed to the {6-Diamonds} river on which Hribernik bet 22,200 with around 63,000 behind. Cohen went into the tank for more than a minute and settled for a fold.

Puente Ona Scores a Knockout

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

During the last hand prior to the break, Alvaro Aspas Tarrazon on the button and Jose Luis Puente Ona in the small blind clashed. The former was unfortunate enough to river a straight with the {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} on a board of {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} because he had zero equity by then.

Puente Ona flipped over the {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a full house and both players bumped fists before parting ways.
